Episode 12 recap: Lao Sui changes for Yan Mo. Yan Mo mediates between Gu Yan Zhi and Song Ranran.
After talking to Gu Yan Zhi, Lao Sui's attitude became tougher. He directly took out the termination contract and allowed shareholders who had objections to the progress of the experiment to sign the contract. Zhao threatened that they could make Lao Sui leave first, but Lao Sui stated that if they were not afraid of losing everything, they should confront him head-on. He believed that there were plenty of investors interested in investing in Gao Xin.
After Lao Sui succeeded, he happily went to inform Gu Yan Zhi and then went to find Yan Mo to share the good news. Gu Yan Zhi initially intended to find Yan Mo but seeing Lao Sui and Yan Mo having a joyful conversation, he didn't approach them. Yan Mo was happy that Lao Sui had changed. She felt that Gu Yan Zhi was temporarily safe and wanted to accelerate the relationship between Song Ranran and Gu Yan Zhi behind the scenes before making a move against Gu Yan Zhi.
With a plan in mind, Yan Mo started to interact with Song Ranran and understand her situation, helping her pursue Gu Yan Zhi. Little O went to the research institute to deliver food and coincidentally met Gu Si Yu, who went to see Lao Sui to discuss investment. They shared an elevator ride together, and Gu Si Yu couldn't help but notice Little O because of his good looks.
Halfway through the elevator ride, it suddenly malfunctioned, and Gu Si Yu got scared, holding onto Little O in a nervous state. Little O reassured Gu Si Yu and after he calmed down, they communicated with the elevator and resolved the issue. After exiting the elevator, Little O followed Gu Si Yu all the way, and Gu Si Yu thought Little O had ulterior motives. However, it turned out that Little O was delivering food to Lao Sui, which made her embarrassed.
Lao Sui was disappointed that Yan Mo didn't come to deliver the food and didn't feel like eating fried chicken, so he gave it to Gu Si Yu instead. Gu Si Yu took the fried chicken and went to find Gu Yan Zhi. At that moment, Song Ranran came to find Gu Yan Zhi, thinking highly of her, she urged Gu Yan Zhi to go out on a date with Song Ranran.
Song Ranran talked to Gu Yan Zhi about their childhood and thanked him for saving her last time. When she saw a piano in the shop, she went up and played a piece for Gu Yan Zhi. While delivering food, Yan Mo passed by and saw Gu Yan Zhi with Song Ranran, which made her unable to help feeling sad, so she tearfully looked at Gu Yan Zhi.
Gu Yan Zhi unintentionally noticed Yan Mo and felt that this scene seemed familiar, which made him pay more attention to Yan Mo. When Song Ranran touched the piano, she unconsciously played the same piece that Lu Fei Yan played before leaving, which felt particularly strange to her. Due to Lao Sui and Gu Yan Zhi's refusal to cooperate, Zhao accepted Wei Wei's suggestion and decided to approach other companies for the experiment, so he planned to steal the experimental data from the research institute.
Wei Wei secretly met with Xiao Zi Bai to discuss the issue of the unauthorized experiment and tried to bribe Xiao Zi Bai. Lao Sui once again went after Yan Mo, inviting her to a vacation resort. Initially, Yan Mo didn't want to go, but when she found out it was a trip to a vacation resort, she changed her mind.
Yan Mo agreed to the invitation but mentioned that it would be too quiet with just the two of them, so she asked Lao Sui to invite Gu Yan Zhi and Song Ranran as well. After talking to Gu Yan Zhi, Lao Sui was rejected, so he had to go and explain to Yan Mo. Disappointed with Gu Yan Zhi's rejection, Yan Mo joined forces with Little O and suggested that Lao Sui ask Gu Si Yu for help.
Lao Sui understood Yan Mo's intention and immediately called Gu Si Yu. When Gu Si Yu heard that it was about helping Gu Yan Zhi with a date, he went straight to the office to pressure Gu Yan Zhi. Gu Yan Zhi was forced by Gu Si Yu and had no choice but to agree to go to the vacation resort. However, Gu Si Yu was still worried and insisted on going together.
When Song Ranran received the call and was invited to the vacation resort, she was in a particularly good mood. Lu Fei Yan, on the other hand, was worried that Yan Mo wouldn't give up her feelings for Gu Yan Zhi because of this arrangement. Yan Mo and the others arrived at the vacation resort first, and when Song Ranran arrived, Yan Mo constantly praised her to leave a deep impression on Gu Yan Zhi.
While soaking in the hot springs, Lao Sui kept talking to Gu Yan Zhi about Song Ranran, encouraging him to develop a relationship with her. However, Gu Yan Zhi didn't pay much attention to it. Song Ranran kept asking Yan Mo about Gu Yan Zhi, and Yan Mo wanted to matchmake them but couldn't bring herself to do it, so she didn't know how to answer Song Ranran's questions.
Taking advantage of the opportunity at the resort, Zhou Han Zhang confessed to Gu Si Yu again, but once again, he was rejected. Zhou Han Zhang arranged for Yan Mo and Lao Sui to share a room, but Yan Mo couldn't accept it and ended up wandering around the hotel alone.
Knowing Yan Mo's concerns, Lao Sui gave the room key to Yan Mo and went to sleep in the car by himself. Gu Si Yu noticed that Gu Yan Zhi had feelings for Yan Mo, so he talked to Gu Yan Zhi and advised him to handle the situation properly, as Lao Sui was pursuing Yan Mo now.
After the conversation with Gu Si Yu, Gu Yan Zhi returned to the room to pick up his luggage, while Song Ranran dressed in sexy lingerie, waiting to seduce Gu Yan Zhi. However, Gu Yan Zhi ignored her and walked away alone.
