Episode 15 recap: Song Ranran decides to give up on Gu Yanzhi. Gu Yanzhi realizes that he has fallen in love with Yan Mo.
After playing fencing with Gu Yanzhi, Lao Sui mentions their last vacation at the mountain resort. He feels that Yan Mo was relaxed there and wants to arrange another date like that. When Gu Yanzhi hears that Lao Sui wants to invite Song Ranran, he expresses that he doesn't want Song Ranran to go, fearing that she might misunderstand their relationship. However, Lao Sui insists and pressures Gu Yanzhi to go.
After Gu Yanzhi agrees, Lao Sui calls Song Ranran and explains his intention to arrange another date. Upon hearing that it is Gu Yanzhi who wants to invite her, Song Ranran immediately raises her voice and reproaches Gu Yanzhi for inviting her without personally calling her. She refuses the invitation.
After hanging up the phone, Song Ranran tells Lu Feiyan about Gu Yanzhi's actions. Lu Feiyan, anxious to see Yan Mo, urgently wants to go back and find Yan Mo. Because of Lu Feiyan's behavior, Song Ranran quickly changes her attitude and calls Gu Yanzhi directly. She uses the condition of going on a date to force Gu Yanzhi to act a scene with her in front of Yan Mo.
During the gathering, Song Ranran deliberately shows affection with Gu Yanzhi and even forces Gu Yanzhi to confess and pursue her according to her lines, while they are having dinner. Song Ranran wants to regain face in front of Yan Mo. After forcing Gu Yanzhi to act, Song Ranran feels particularly happy, but Yan Mo can't bear it and hides in the restroom.
After Lao Sui follows Yan Mo outside, Song Ranran also clarifies things with Gu Yanzhi, explaining that she didn't come to the appointment today for Gu Yanzhi but to bid farewell to past feelings. She then wishes Gu Yanzhi well and leaves happily. Yan Mo, feeling upset in the restroom for a while, declares that she is full and asks Lao Sui to allow her to leave first.
After settling things with Gu Yanzhi, Song Ranran understands her true feelings. She then invites Lu Feiyan for a drink and expresses her thoughts. Song Ranran decides to give up on Gu Yanzhi. However, Lu Feiyan is worried and afraid that fate will repeat itself and they will return to the starting point.
Song Ranran doesn't understand the meaning behind Lu Feiyan's words and just wants to enjoy drinking. However, Lu Feiyan is afraid that Song Ranran will get drunk and takes the wine away from her. Lu Feiyan gets drunk, so Song Ranran carries her back to her own home. Lu Feiyan holds onto Song Ranran and doesn't let her leave, expressing that she will always accompany her.
Song Ranran expects Lu Feiyan to confess her feelings after getting drunk, but she is disappointed when Lu Feiyan only sees her as a friend.
Song Ranran questioned Lu Feiyan a few more times and felt better when she heard Lu Feiyan say that she was the most important person. Early the next morning, Lu Feiyan discovered that she was sleeping while holding Song Ranran, which startled him.
Lu Feiyan asked Song Ranran about the events of the previous night, and Song Ranran vaguely mentioned how Lu Feiyan held onto her and didn't let go, making Lu Feiyan think that he had done something wrong while drunk. So he went to the restroom to reflect on it. Song Ranran didn't let Lu Feiyan escape, while Lu Feiyan was afraid and blamed himself even more for jeopardizing Song Ranran and Gu Yanzhi's relationship.
Song Ranran thought that Lu Feiyan didn't confess to her because of Gu Yanzhi's presence, so she invited Gu Yanzhi to her home to stage another breakup scene. Gu Yanzhi cooperated well with Song Ranran. When Song Ranran claimed that she and Lu Feiyan only slept together, and Lu Feiyan hurriedly tried to explain the misunderstanding, Gu Yanzhi directly suggested breaking up and wished them happiness.
Lu Feiyan chased after Gu Yanzhi to explain things further, but Gu Yanzhi stated that there was no longer a possibility between him and Song Ranran. This made Lu Feiyan unable to resist questioning whether it was because of Yan Mo. Lu Feiyan's words puzzled Gu Yanzhi, but he didn't want to listen to Lu Feiyan's advice. Instead, he chose to distance himself from Yan Mo and felt there was something between him and Yan Mo.
Little O gave Lao Sui a lot of fried chicken and asked for his help in finding investment for Gu Siyu. Lao Sui asked Little O about Yan Mo, but unexpectedly, Little O said something inexplicable about Yan Mo, advising him not to be with Yan Mo.
Lu Feiyan told Yan Mo about the situation and asked Yan Mo to explain it to Gu Yanzhi. Gu Yan Zhi reminded Yan Mo that his life had been disrupted by Yan Mo, and Lao Sui was his best friend. It was the first time he cared so much about a girl, and he hoped Yan Mo wouldn't disappoint Lao Sui.
Upon hearing Gu Yan Zhi's words, Yan Mo left the research institute in sadness, and it started raining heavily. Gu Yan Zhi couldn't help but worry, so he ran out to give Yan Mo an umbrella. Lao Sui saw Gu Yan Zhi giving Yan Mo an umbrella and unhappily questioned why Gu Yan Zhi crossed his bottom line and tried to compete with him for Yan Mo.
Gu Yan Zhi repeatedly stated that he didn't snatch Yan Mo away, but he couldn't deny that Yan Mo was already in his heart. Lao Sui was extremely angry with Gu Yan Zhi's response and punched him. Their relationship deteriorated. Wei Wei learned about the worsening relationship between Lao Sui and Gu Yan Zhi and reported to Zhao Zong. She prepared to arrange for someone to kidnap Yan Mo.
