Episode 2 recap: Yan Mo's identity is being suspected, and she is forced to activate the time regression.
Gu Yan Zhi thinks that Yan Mo has a strong sense of justice and good professional skills, so he decides to let Yan Mo try the position of an assistant. When Yan Mo receives the notification, she happily goes to work. However, her desk is a bit far from Gu Yan Zhi's, and she is not satisfied with it. Yan Mo rudely expresses her desire to share the same office space with Gu Yan Zhi but is mercilessly rejected. Soon after, Gu Yan Zhi gives Yan Mo a data sorting task to assess her performance as an assistant.
Gu Yan Zhi asks Yan Mo to sort the data and tidy up the office while he is away. After arranging everything, Gu Yan Zhi leaves the office directly and instructs Little O not to clean his office. As soon as Gu Yan Zhi leaves, Little O immediately seeks out Yan Mo and hands over the research direction and data that Gu Yan Zhi has been studying for years.

Her colleagues don't believe what Yan Mo says, so she calls Gu Yan Zhi on the spot and uses the incident at the hotel to force him to meet her at the KTV. Gu Yan Zhi, fearing that Yan Mo might say something inappropriate, has no choice but to rush to the KTV. He is forced by Yan Mo to drink a lot of alcohol and eventually gets drunk.
Yan Mo happily takes Gu Yan Zhi home and successfully draws his blood. She thinks she doesn't have to endure Gu Yan Zhi's difficult personality anymore, so she uses lipstick to draw all over his face. When Gu Yan Zhi wakes up early in the morning and sees how he looks, he becomes extremely angry at Yan Mo.
Yan Mo retrieves the blood sample, but after analyzing it overnight, she discovers that the sample lacks the hormone responsible for emotional release, rendering it useless. Yan Mo must collect blood again. To do so, she first investigates Gu Yan Zhi's emotional history and waits for him to understand emotions before drawing his blood.
While checking the emotional history, Yan Mo discovers that Gu Yan Zhi is about to meet musician Song Ranran. Before that happens, she needs to ensure that Gu Yan Zhi won't blame her for what happened the previous day, so she has to go back to the office and improve her relationship with him. Lao Sui finds out that Yan Mo's resume is all fake and that no one knows her. He even obtains the video of Yan Mo opening a hotel room, which makes him believe that Yan Mo is suspicious and has ulterior motives for getting close to Gu Yan Zhi.
Lao Sui goes to the office and interrogates Yan Mo about the situation. Unable to explain, Yan Mo can only admit that she is not from the present and then takes the invisibility pill, activating time regression and going back a few hours. Yan Mo returns to before meeting Lao Sui and plans to hide from him. After Gu Yan Zhi meets Song Ranran, she will directly draw his blood and leave.
Lao Sui gives Gu Yan Zhi a ticket to a concert and tells him to attend. Due to the weather, the concert is canceled, and Song Ranran doesn't show up. Yan Mo happily waits at the venue, expecting Gu Yan Zhi and Song Ranran to fall in love at first sight. However, the rain comes, but they don't arrive. In the end, Gu Yan Zhi appears, and she excitedly asks him about the situation.
Gu Yan Zhi doesn't understand what Yan Mo is talking about and is trying to figure it out when a typhoon suddenly strikes. The backdrop of the concert is blown down, and he immediately rushes to save Yan Mo, who was almost crushed.
Can we please respect science? Now even science is being used as a tool to enhance the emotional bond between the male and female leads? You can argue that having excessive alcohol in the blood is ineffective, or that the samples should be taken when the emotions are stable.
But to claim that there are emotional factors in the blood that determine whether the male lead can fall in love? It's beyond words.
