Episode 9 recap: Gu Yan Zhi and Yan Mo resolve their misunderstandings, while Lu Fei Yan bids farewell to Song Ran Ran.
Lu Fei Yan reveals that he is an extraterrestrial being and initially believed that he was in deep trouble. However, to his surprise, Song Ran Ran is extremely excited. Song Ran Ran enthusiastically tells Lu Fei Yan that she thought extraterrestrials were fake, but meeting him has proven otherwise. Therefore, she has decided to be with him, the extraterrestrial.
Lu Fei Yan explains to Song Ran Ran that he is indeed an extraterrestrial and that they come from different worlds. However, Song Ran Ran refuses to listen. She arranges a meeting with Yan Mo and reveals that she knows Yan Mo is an extraterrestrial. Song Ran Ran explains that she has made up her mind and does not actually like Gu Yan Zhi. She has found her true love and encourages Yan Mo to boldly pursue a relationship with Gu Yan Zhi.
After understanding Song Ran Ran's thoughts, Yan Mo realizes the misunderstanding between her and Gu Yan Zhi. It becomes difficult for them to be together now. Song Ran Ran busily advises Yan Mo, who then goes to find Lu Fei Yan to understand the situation. That's when Yan Mo learns about Lu Fei Yan's experiences.
Lu Fei Yan explains that Yan Mo is the main entity in this space. As long as Yan Mo remains unaffected, there won't be any time reversals, and the impact on other people is minimal. Zhao, the director, needs Gu Yan Zhi's cooperation as the experiment is coming to an end. However, Gu Yan Zhi refuses to cooperate. Therefore, Zhao must handle the situation involving Gu Yan Zhi.
Zhao intends to cause trouble for Gu Yan Zhi by orchestrating a car accident. Lu Fei Yan sees the history of the accident and immediately informs Yan Mo. Yan Mo cannot allow Gu Yan Zhi to have an accident, so she rushes to find him early in the morning and prevents him from leaving the house.
Initially, Gu Yan Zhi ignores Yan Mo's plea, but when Yan Mo embraces him, he can't resist and decides to stay. Gu Yan Zhi stays home, but Xiao Zi Bai, who was supposed to accompany him, ends up getting into a car accident. Yan Mo and Gu Yan Zhi find out about it and rush to the hospital to see Xiao Zi Bai.
Xiao Zi Bai is deeply moved by Yan Mo's forgiveness and asks her to retrieve her car. She is grateful to Yan Mo deep down.
When Yan Mo goes to retrieve the car, she discovers that the brake pads have been tampered with deliberately. This makes her realize that someone is intentionally trying to harm Gu Yan Zhi, and she worries that it may be related to the unauthorized experiment.
Yan Mo wants to inform Gu Yan Zhi about this, but Lu Fei Yan suggests that the unauthorized experiment might have already existed, and Gu Yan Zhi simply didn't know about it. Therefore, Lu Fei Yan advises Yan Mo not to intervene to avoid altering history. However, Yan Mo refuses to listen to Lu Fei Yan. After seeking Gu Yan Zhi's opinion, she reveals to him that the brake pads were intentionally tampered with.
Upon learning the situation, Gu Yan Zhi coincidentally encounters Xiao Zi Bai, who is eager to leave the country. He approaches Xiao Zi Bai to clarify the situation. Xiao Zi Bai truthfully explains how she was bribed by Lao Sui and falsely accused Yan Mo. Gu Yan Zhi, upon hearing this, immediately rushes to confront Lao Sui.
Gu Yan Zhi learns the truth and realizes his misunderstanding of Yan Mo. He decides to learn some methods of wooing a girlfriend and tries to make Yan Mo happy. Song Ran Ran learns how to brew tea and busily makes various kinds of tea for Lu Fei Yan. Meanwhile, Lu Fei Yan informs Song Ran Ran that he will be leaving the next day to return to his own world.
Song Ran Ran is reluctant to part with Lu Fei Yan, but she can't change anything and can only pretend that everything is fine while continuing to chat and laugh with him. After crying, Song Ran Ran doesn't want to miss their last night together, so she takes Lu Fei Yan out to enjoy themselves. After the revelry, Lu Fei Yan happens to see a piano in the square and decides to play it as a farewell gift to Song Ran Ran.
Song Ran Ran doesn't want to say goodbye to Lu Fei Yan. Despite saying goodbye multiple times, she still refuses to leave. Finally, she gathers her courage and confesses her love to Lu Fei Yan. After her confession, she rushes forward and kisses Lu Fei Yan, leaving a bite mark on his hand as her own imprint, ensuring that he won't forget her.
