Episode 12 recap: Gu Ming Ze wants to pursue Han Meng Nan.
Gu Ming Ze asks Shen Mi about her relationship with Han Meng Nan and whether she would mind if he pursued Han Meng Nan. Shen Mi says she will be attending a veterinary medicine summit for a few days and that Tian Tian will take care of her, reassuring Han Meng Nan not to worry.Han Meng Nan sees the drawings of Shen Mi and Tian Tian at Shen Mi's home. Tian Tian is also surprised to see Gu Ming Ze and Gu Ming Ze explains that Tian Tian is his junior. Han Meng Nan comments that Shen Mi is only away for a few days and it seems that Tian Tian, the personal doctor, is indeed very close.
While Tian Tian and Shen Mi are having an argument, Boss Ma returns. Shen Mi quickly pulls Tian Tian and hides in a nearby corner. Boss Ma is excited to see the cats and notices that there is a lot of cat food here. He calls his employees and tells them that he has already instructed them not to put out cat food at night, as the cats get too excited and won't sleep.
After Boss Ma leaves, Shen Mi pulls Tian Tian out and sees the cat food. Shen Mi wants to have it tested. Shen Mi approaches Gu Ming Ze and asks him to examine the ingredients of the cat food. Gu Ming Ze agrees. Gu Ming Ze asks Shen Mi about her relationship with Han Meng Nan and whether she would mind if he pursued Han Meng Nan.
Shen Mi says that she and Han Meng Nan are family, but she doesn't know Gu Ming Ze well enough yet to trust him completely. She wants to give it time and see. The results of the cat food test come out, and many of the ingredients are problematic.
Tian Tian and the others see the test report. Some of the ingredients can make the cats very excited, while others can be toxic if the dosage is too high. Shen Chen says they currently have no way to prove that the cat food came from this cat café, but Shen Mi says she has a plan.
Shen Chen starts a live stream at the cat café, and Boss Ma agrees to let him do it after learning that he has a lot of followers. Eleven comes to see the cats and notices that something seems off. She asks Boss Ma if they have been fed something dirty. Boss Ma wants to argue with Shen Chen, but Dr. Chen is already prepared and starts arguing with Zhao Hao, who brought the food, catching Boss Ma's attention.
Shen Chen took the opportunity to take the cat food and went to the Green River Research and Development Department for testing. It was discovered that all of the cat food had issues. These findings were broadcasted through the livestream, and many cat lovers came to the cat café to protest. The cat café couldn't continue operating. According to the adoption agreement, Party A engaged in animal abuse, and Party B had the right to reclaim these stray animals. Therefore, Shen Mi and the others brought back all of the cats.
Shen Mi asked Tian Tian what to do with these cats and suggested placing them on the adoption platform at Green River. She wanted to set the price high to select families that would treat the animals well. Tian Tian is now also wavering and thinks that this can expose businessmen like Boss Ma.
Shen Mi asked Tian Tian to attend the veterinary medicine summit, stating that they were representing the animal hospital and naturally, the hospital should cover the expenses. Tian Tian didn't want to pay for it and called her aunt to act together, claiming that their hospital is very poor. Shen Mi was speechless and handed the black card to Tian Tian, saying that she would cover everything.
Shen Chen happened to see Shen Mi's black card and noticed Tian Tian's aunt making a hotel reservation. He called the hotel and found out that Tian Tian would also be going to meet Tian Yu Xian and borrow money to pursue him. Han Shu came to find Shen Mi and told her to take good care of the animal hospital, as one year is not a long time.
Han Meng Nan came to find Tian Tian, and Shen Mi said she would be attending the veterinary medicine summit for a few days, assuring Han Meng Nan that Tian Tian would take care of her and not to worry. Han Meng Nan saw the paintings of Shen Mi and Tian Tian at Shen Mi's home and felt very upset.
Han Meng Nan came to find Gu Ming Ze and asked him to help her obtain an invitation to the veterinary medicine summit. Soon it was time to go to the summit, and Tian Tian and Shen Mi were waiting at the airport. Gu Ming Ze and Han Meng Nan also arrived, and Tian Tian was surprised to see Gu Ming Ze. Gu Ming Ze explained that Tian Tian is his junior.
Han Meng Nan commented that Shen Mi would only be away for a few days, and it seems that Tian Tian, the personal doctor, is indeed very close. Shen Mi told Tian Tian to speak less and not to reveal that she is just a veterinarian.
