Episode 16 recap: Tian Tian seeks cooperation with kennels.
Tian Tian remembered when their mother sewed a doll for their sibling when they were young. Their father took out that doll, thinking of attempting surgery with his medical skills. However, the thought of the sibling lying on the operating table, losing their life, made it impossible for him to proceed. He had to put down the surgical knife. Tian Tian's aunt came to find them and mentioned that she hadn't seen Shen Mi. Tian Tian replied that Shen Mi was always like that, appearing and disappearing like a mythical dragon. Tian Tian's aunt thought that Tian Tian was missing Shen Mi, but Tian Tian denied it.
Tian Tian saw the clarification post that Gao Ju had previously made, but hardly anyone had seen it. They felt that people were more interested in scandals. Tian Tian's aunt mentioned that at least recently, customers hadn't been causing trouble in the group chat or demanding refunds. Tian Tian realized that this incident gave them an idea. They thought they could collaborate with some reputable kennels that would need to have dogs checked. This way, they could have a stable customer base and meet the sales requirements. Tian Tian's aunt agreed that it was indeed a good approach.
Tian Tian had already told Shen Mi about this matter, and Shen Mi had already guessed that Tian Tian would do such a thing. Shen Mi believed that if Tian Tian went to negotiate a collaboration, they would surely be deceived. Tian Tian wanted Shen Mi to go together with them. However, Shen Mi said they didn't have time because their grandfather would be coming to the company for an inspection next month, and they needed to prepare the financial report. Tian Tian suggested they ask Shen Chen instead, but Shen Mi quickly said that Shen Chen wouldn't be suitable. Shen Chen stood there, sighing in frustration, not knowing how to handle Tian Tian. Tian Yu Xian said that the tactics Shen Chen was using wouldn't work on Tian Tian in the first place.
Tian Tian came to find Tian Yu Xian to negotiate business together, but Tian Yu Xian quickly pretended to have a stomachache and needed to go to the bathroom. So Shen Chen went with Tian Tian instead. The two of them visited several kennels, but those kennels already had partnerships with their own hospitals and didn't want to collaborate with Tian Tian and their group.
Tian Tian and their group found another kennel. This particular kennel had just opened, and the owner took them to visit the facilities. The owner confirmed that they were indeed looking for a collaborating hospital and had already been contacted by several hospitals. Coincidentally, there was a customer interested in buying a dog. They noticed a dog licking the stairs, so Tian Tian came over to examine the dog. Tian Tian explained that before the dog developed rickets, the kennel owner had sealed all the doors and windows to prevent the dog from getting cold, but as a result, the dog couldn't get enough sunlight, leading to rickets.
Tian Tian reassured the owner that with medication and exposure to sunlight, the dog would recover. The owner was very pleased and agreed to sign a contract with Tian Tian and their group. When Tian Tian came back, they were excited, but Shen Mi poured cold water on their enthusiasm. Shen Mi pointed out that the kennels they were currently collaborating with were newly opened, and they couldn't guarantee a stable customer base, nor were there many people coming to their hospital.
Tian Tian wanted to invite Gu Ming Ze to work as a visiting doctor at their hospital. However, Shen Mi hung up the phone directly. Tian Tian had to go to the Green River area to find Gu Ming Ze by themselves, but they couldn't make an appointment. Han Meng Nan saw Tian Tian and took them upstairs. Coincidentally, Shen Mi's grandfather wanted to find Gu Ming Ze to inquire about a new medicine. Upon hearing that Tian Tian was here as well, he hurriedly came over to ask about Shen Mi's situation.
Gu Ming Ze mistakenly thought that Shen Mi was forcing Tian Tian to be their private veterinarian for the dogs, considering it an extortionate condition. Gu Ming Ze believed that Tian Tian should resist. Shen Mi's grandfather came over to ask about Shen Mi, and Tian Tian had to conceal the truth. Shen Mi was also displeased, expressing that they had already told Tian Tian not to come, and Tian Tian immediately apologized.
Gu Ming Ze started working as a visiting doctor at Tian Lin Animal Hospital, and many customers came because of his reputation. The hospital became crowded, bringing joy to Tian Tian and their group.
