Episode 18 recap: Tian Yu Xian meets their idol, Xing Tao.
It's too late now, and Tian Tian and Shen Mi can't go back. They can only temporarily stay here. However, there aren't many rooms available, so Tian Tian and Shen Mi have to share the same room, which makes them both feel a bit awkward. Tian Tian wakes up and realizes that Shen Mi is not there. Upon coming out, Tian Tian sees Shen Mi outside, looking at the stars. Shen Mi mentions that it's been a long time since they've seen such a night sky.
Shen Mi says that sometimes life is simpler when they live alone. All they think about is how to fill their stomachs, unlike now, where every day is filled with various reports and interests. Tian Tian says that if Gao Zhuo were still alive, he wouldn't want to see Shen Mi in this state.
Shen Mi asks Tian Tian when they will move on and pick up the surgical scalpel again. Tian Tian proposes a bet, to see who can say goodbye to the past first. Shen Mi agrees. The next day, Tian Tian wakes up and realizes that while they were asleep, they didn't pay attention and ended up sleeping very close to Shen Mi, which makes them incredibly embarrassed.
The host family heard that they came here to collaborate with the Pudgy Husky Kennel. They mention that it's owned by their son. They make a phone call and insist that they must collaborate with Tian Tian. Tian Tian is happy to hear this. Shen Chen comes to work at the hospital and accidentally overhears Tian Tian's aunt gossiping with someone, saying that Tian Tian and Shen Mi stayed together last night.
Shen Chen becomes extremely upset and goes to find Shen Mi, thinking that Shen Mi took advantage of them. Shen Mi says they didn't do anything and receives a phone call informing them that they need to go to the company. Without paying any further attention to Shen Chen, Shen Mi leaves directly. Shen Chen is extremely frustrated and asks Shen Mi if they are really siblings.
Dr. Chen happens to overhear this and tells Tian Tian's aunt about the gossip. Tian Tian's aunt doesn't believe it at all. She thinks that with Shen Chen's personality, they treat everyone like a brother, so how could Tian Tian really be Shen Chen's sibling?
Shen Chen came to find Tian Yu Xian. Tian Yu Xian tells Shen Chen that when Shen Chen brings their idol, Xing Tao, to their home, they will then introduce Shen Chen to their parents. A woman named Nv Ren brings a dog named Feini and asks them to examine it. They find out that Feini has kidney failure leading to uremia, along with several complications. Treatment can only prolong Feini's life, and euthanasia is the best choice now.
Nv Ren disagrees and asks Shen Chen and Tian Yu Xian to find a solution to save Feini. Shen Chen receives a message that Xing Tao wants to invite them for a meal and takes Tian Yu Xian along. Many people who play games together also come, but Xing Tao has not shown up.
Xing Tao's figure appears on the screen. Xing Tao greets everyone and mentions Tian Yu Xian. Xing Tao finally appears, looking very haggard. It turns out that Xing Tao was diagnosed with a brain tumor four months ago, and time is running out.
Xing Tao distributes their account skins and other items to everyone, hoping that they can help take care of their mother. Xing Tao believes that they cannot be cured. They used to be disobedient and hurt their mother's heart. They no longer want their mother to worry about them. Xing Tao faints and is taken to the hospital.
Feini turns out to be Xing Tao's dog. The conditions of both Xing Tao and the dog are critical. Tian Yu Xian and the others learn that Xing Tao has always wanted to take Feini to a certain place, although they don't know where. They want to bring Feini to see Xing Tao, hoping that it might help Xing Tao get better.
They distract Tian Tian, pack their things, and plan to take Feini to see Xing Tao. However, they discover that Feini's condition is very bad, and the dog has already passed away. Tian Yu Xian refuses to believe it and desperately tries to save Feini. Shen Chen tells Tian Yu Xian not to struggle anymore as Feini has indeed passed away.
