Episode 3 recap: Shen Mitian Discusses Terms
Shen Mitian returned to his grandfather's house, where Shen Chen was also present. The two played chess together. Shen Mitian felt that Shen Chen should also find a job. Shen Chen said that if Shen Mitian could beat him in a game, he would let him off. Shen Mitian stated that if Shen Chen lost, he would have to seriously find a job. Shen Chen agreed to the terms. As a result, Shen Chen lost and became extremely angry. He wanted to cheat but it was of no use.
Shen Mitian received a phone call and learned about Tian Tian's current situation. Tian Tian's side needed to withdraw funds. They were indeed short of money. Grandfather Shen called Shen Hongyuan over and told him about his intention to make Shen Mitian the CEO. Shen Hongyuan thought that Shen Mitian was still too young. Green River Company was built from scratch by all of them, and no one would listen to Shen Mitian.
Grandfather Shen stated that he knew what Shen Hongyuan had done, such as the incident at yesterday's press conference. He was aware of these things. During the meal, Shen Hongyuan suggested that they should arrange a dedicated caregiver for Shen Mitian. Han Mengnan offered to take care of it herself, and Grandfather Shen believed that Han Mengnan was reliable.
Grandfather Shen announced that he wanted to make an announcement. He asked Shen Mitian to choose a poorly managed pet hospital and turn it around within a year. If Shen Mitian could accomplish it, he would be appointed as the CEO. If Shen Mitian couldn't do it, he would have to continue competing with Shen Hongyuan. Shen Mitian agreed and knew of a hospital that was having problems.
Upon hearing about the issues at Tianlin Animal Hospital, many customers wanted to cancel their memberships. Tian Tian insisted that their business was not problematic and they would not run away with the money in the cards. However, the customers didn't believe him and demanded refunds. A scuffle broke out, and Shen Mitian arrived and refunded everyone's money. Tian Tian said he would return the money to Shen Mitian, but Shen Mitian gave him his phone, saying he didn't have time to handle the money himself.
Aunt Tian Tian saw the phone and thought it was excellent, noting that Shen Mi's actions were indeed different. Tian Tian found it strange why a company like Green River would invest in their small hospital. Aunt Tian Tian told Shen Mi not to think too much about it, as at least with Shen Mi's investment, they could still keep the hospital's brand. If it were given to Director Hu, who knows what would happen.
Han Mengnan came to find Shen Mi to have a meal together, but Shen Mi said he was busy. Shen Chen came over and asked Han Mengnan if she liked Shen Mi. Tian Tian called Shen Mi and suggested that they have a talk. They agreed to meet at eight o'clock in the evening. Shen Chen asked Shen Mi if Tian Tian was his girlfriend, but Shen Mi said no, which made Han Mengnan somewhat cautious. Aunt Tian Tian learned that Tian Tian was going to see Shen Mi and specially did Tian Tian's makeup and changed his clothes.
Tian Tian arrived at Shen Mi's place while he was cooking for Carlo, but Carlo still preferred the food Tian Tian brought, which made Shen Mi more frustrated. Shen Mi showed Tian Tian the contract he prepared, stating that Tian Tian's group would have a 30% stake while Shen Mi's group would have a 70% stake. Additionally, Shen Mi would become the director and have control over the management. Tian Tian directly refused. Tian Tian talked to Aunt Tian Tian about the matter, mentioning that he rejected Shen Mi and the bank rejected him.
Aunt Tian Tian advised Tian Tian not to think too much and reminded him that they didn't have many options now. Shen Mi fed Carlo, but Carlo refused to eat. Tian Tian came to see Shen Mi, bringing food for Carlo, which made Carlo happy. Shen Mi asked Tian Tian to sell the formula to him, but Tian Tian refused. Shen Mi made a proposal, offering Tian Tian a 5% stake and the opportunity to participate in the management.
Tian Tian was unwilling and tried to leave, but accidentally tripped over, causing both of them to fall.
