Episode 9 recap: Ba Dou and Xiao Yu followed Zeng Xiao Gong.
Ma Long came to find his friend with a portrait drawn by Zeng Xiao Gong. At first, his friend didn't want Ma Long to be involved, but eventually revealed that the person in the portrait was an experienced individual who claimed to be a descendant of Kuajie named Sun Beishan. However, Sun Beishan suddenly disappeared over a decade ago after being involved in a major case. It was during this case that the Golden Dragon was lost. Ma Long's father happened to be the one handling the case at that time, which puzzled Ma Long even more. This meant that this person should be around the same age as his father, but the one who appeared was a young man. Slowly, the person began to speak and mentioned that Sun Beishan had a son named Sun Zhengyi.
Xiao Yu and Ba Dou were discussing drinking when they suddenly saw a familiar face—it was Zeng Xiao Gong. Zeng Xiao Gong even got into a Maybach. Ba Dou instantly became suspicious and tried to persuade Xiao Yu to go on an adventure, even bringing up the topic of food to tempt him. In the end, the two of them drove and followed behind Zeng Xiao Gong and Sun Zhengyi. Xiao Yu vaguely felt that the man next to Zeng Xiao Gong seemed familiar, but couldn't recall where he had seen him before.
What Xiao Yu and Ba Dou didn't know was that there were two people secretly following them. Sun Zhengyi quickly noticed the car behind him, and Zeng Xiao Gong recognized it as Ma Long's car. However, they didn't pay much attention to it. When they arrived at their destination, they found Ba Dou and Xiao Yu. The two of them ran away quickly. Sun Zhengyi bluntly stated that the Golden Dragon was fake and would be returned, as Ma Long would surely come looking for the real one.
