Fang Xiaoran examined Zhang Yuxi's condition and realized that she was in a critical state with no attachment to the world. Fang Xiaoran learned that they couldn't reach Zhang Yuxi's parents as they had moved.Han Xiao mentioned that she had always been loud, while Lin Yi suggested that she should change her loud behavior and have more professionalism as a medical professional. Zhou Xiaofeng advised them to remain calm. Zhang Yuxi's husband came over and informed her that their family was also going through a difficult time, and he couldn't only consider Zhang Yuxi's situation.
Zhang Yuxi remained silent. Her husband disagreed with the idea of using extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and they had to rely on a ventilator for now. Fang Xiaoran explained that after being put on a ventilator, Zhang Yuxi would be sedated most of the time, and asked if she wanted to contact her parents. Zhang Yuxi refused. Fang Xiaoran called Zhang Yuxi's classmates, but they didn't have her parents' contact information.
Fang Xiaoran also contacted the local police station where Zhang Yuxi's household registration was, but they couldn't reach her parents as they had moved. Lin Yi asked Fang Xiaoran to provide Zhang Yuxi's husband's contact information.
Lin Yi went to find Zhang Yuxi's husband, but he no longer wanted treatment for Zhang Yuxi. He wanted to discharge her from the hospital and transfer her to a nearby rehabilitation hospital. Zhou Xiaofeng encountered many elderly people who were unfamiliar with making online appointments. He booked numerous appointments but was unable to finish them before closing time. Lin Yi received a thank-you letter from Zhang Yuxi's father, expressing gratitude for their efforts in saving Zhang Yuxi's life.
The hospital issued a disciplinary notice, marking a record on Lin Yi's file. Han Xiao witnessed the family of Zhang Bingxian feeding him persimmons, despite the fact that he was not allowed to eat them. She advised them against it, but they didn't listen. Zhang Bingxian had three bowel movements within an hour. Han Xiao went to change his bed sheet and scolded them. At that moment, Han Xiao's daughter arrived and recorded a video, criticizing Han Xiao's attitude and threatening to file a complaint and have her fired.

Lin Yi suggested that she should change her behavior and exhibit more professionalism as a healthcare provider. Zhou Xiaofeng urged them to remain calm. Zhou Xiaofeng took charge of handling the situation, apologized to Zhang Bingxian, who felt responsible for causing trouble to Han Xiao. Lin Yi also felt remorseful.
Fang Xiaoran went home and discussed the incident with Fang Zhuqing.
