Episode 14 recap: Liu Jingsu left Duke's Mansion.
Shen Huaijin asked Li Caiwei if she was serious about liking him yesterday. Li Caiwei didn't know how to respond, to be honest she was dazed yesterday and wasn't even certain if she said those words. Shen Huaijin suddenly embraced her and kissed her without explanation. Li Caiwei stared at him in shock with wide eyes. After the long kiss, Shen Huaijin asked if she was certain, and Li Caiwei stuttered that it was a bit sudden.
Liu Jingsu saw Shen Huairbi continuously drinking, knowing he was in pain inside. She advised him to take care of his health. Shen Huairbi didn't say much and just told Liu Jingsu to rest in her room. Li Caiwei cheerfully walked over holding a rose, encountering Shen Huairbi. They both apologized to each other simultaneously. Shen Huairbi told Li Caiwei his mother had returned to his grandfather's home, and he was apologizing on her behalf for her actions.
Li Caiwei hastily said past matters were past, and unlike the queen consort, he didn't need to apologize for her. Liu Jingsu was leaving. Shen Huaijin had arranged accommodations for her and her mother. Li Caiwei thanked Liu Jingsu for her cooperation, while Liu Jingsu modestly said she worried about arousing the queen consort's suspicions, so reluctantly put poison in the snacks. But she added that thanks to her actually poisoning it, Li Caiwei realized her true feelings for Shen Huaijin.
Liu Jingsu bowed deeply to the two before taking her leave in the carriage, as they all knew this parting would not be easy to come by again.
