Episode 13 recap: Zhao An's mission failed.
After Chen Jia Ping returned, they quickly packed up their weapons. At this moment, Zuo Shuang Tao arrived at the scene. Hearing the commotion, Zuo Shuang Tao pretended to be calm and asked Oil Stick why it was paired with soy milk. Seeing his serious question, Oil Stick answered directly. Before leaving, someone behind nearly exposed something.
Back inside the room, both Chen Jia Ping and Zuo Shuang Tao changed their clothes and armed themselves. They acted in their respective rooms and used binoculars to observe everything around them. Outside, Zhao An, after listening to the advice of their subordinates, decided not to continue investigating Han Lu's matter. It was precisely because of the warning from the Japanese that these leads were interrupted. Given the circumstances, Zhao An's subordinates believed that Han Lu had discovered something and intentionally provided false leads. Zhao An was also uncertain if the note that had fallen on the ground was still there. After listening, Zhao An hastily left the scene.
After Chen Jia Ping finished buying things outside, they deliberately picked an expensive lipstick from the stall and put it in their pocket. After leaving, they continued to stealthily infiltrate the room to eavesdrop on conversations. At the same time, Zuo Shuang Tao, who was on the rooftop, observed every move inside.
Upon returning, Zhao An kept examining the notebook and discovered the secrets within it. Their companion couldn't help but praise them at this moment. Chen Jia Ping, who had infiltrated the room, continued to disguise themselves as one of the people inside, preparing to pour tea. While no one was around, they skillfully manipulated something on the side. However, Zuo Shuang Tao, who was investigating the situation from the rooftop, soon spotted Chen Jia Ping inside the room through the glass mirror. This surprised Zuo Shuang Tao, who quickly noticed the commotion outside.
At that moment, Zhao An, upon finding the location, quickly led his subordinates to surround the entire house, fearing that they would let anyone inside escape. As they continued to climb over the wall and into the courtyard, Chen Jia Ping remained inside, holding a small camera and capturing what they desired, completely unaware of the situation outside.
Zuo Shuang Tao, standing outside, noticed Zhao An's actions and immediately set fire to the cars without hesitation. Hearing the commotion, the people inside the house instantly realized the situation. Upon seeing their exposure, Zhao An had no choice but to brace themselves and engage in a firefight with the others.
The people inside hurriedly fled to the cars, still awaiting the arrival of Director Jiang. Despite the perilous situation, they intended to take the documents from the cabinet. However, Zhao An and his men directly blocked their escape route, and someone upstairs unhesitatingly threw the still-active bomb down to the ground. As both sides entered into intense combat, the firepower escalated. Unfortunately, Director Jiang was injured in the arm by the enemies. Just as he planned to escape, Zhao An intercepted him on the spot. Unexpectedly, a nun suddenly appeared and kidnapped Director Jiang right then and there. Witnessing this scene, Zhao An found Chen Jia Ping and intended to shift all blame onto them.
After narrowly escaping death, Director Jiang prepared to wait for Han Lu's appearance. However, he was intercepted by Samurai Yamashita upon leaving and the two successfully met up.
