Episode 4 recap: Chen Jia Ping and Zuo Shuang Tao had a conflict.

Seeing the person in front of them being persecuted, Zuo Shuang Tao couldn't bear to witness the scene and hurriedly ran over to rescue the person. However, unexpectedly, she was pulled and teased by the people around her. Despite her desperate pleas, she was unable to make a difference. At this moment, even Chen Jia Ping, who was usually a close friend of Zuo Shuang Tao, stood on the same side as the Japanese and accused the person in front of them of being a member of the Communist Party.

Under these circumstances, Chen Jia Ping, unable to bear the torment any longer, told the people around him that he was ready to admit his mistake. After successfully being brought down from the tree, he confessed his own wrongdoing. However, he still didn't admit to being the real identity of "Mei Hua Si" (presumably a code name or alias). Afterwards, calmly standing up from the ground, he revealed the true identity of the person in front of them and exposed their actions. Seeing that he observed so carefully, the officer began to admire this astute and resourceful person within the business circle.

The people nearby hurriedly tried to stop the officer from letting the suspect go. Witnessing this scene, someone who was acquainted with Chen Jia Ping suddenly stepped forward to speak on his behalf. After listening, the officer realized that there was no evidence proving Chen Jia Ping's identity as an enemy, so he decided to let him go.

Back at home, with numerous injuries, Chen Jia Ping leisurely lay on the sofa, while Zuo Shuang Tao, beside him, felt deep concern for his body and carefully wiped his wounds. She kept cursing the detestable Japanese in her mouth. After a while, Luo Guan Qun excitedly ran over and brought up the matter of the list of undercover members of the Communist Party, intending for his old friend to successfully obtain the information before Zhao An and take advantage of this opportunity to achieve success, while also using it as a chance to educate Zhao An.

During the day, Zuo Shuang Tao hurriedly walked alone on the street. Even she didn't expect the Japanese to be so cunning. The secret letter was still in their hands, and now she had no chance to make a move. Thinking about all this, she decided to leave Shanghai, but she couldn't bear to abandon her fallen comrades in vain.

Since escaping, Chen Jia Ping gradually dispelled the suspicion of his wife and planned to continue his relationship with her as lovers. In this situation, he also intended to continue completing missions for the organization and not involve the people close to him. Afterwards, he planned to find an opportunity to end this relationship.

After successfully meeting with her comrades, Zuo Shuang Tao continued to inform them about the hiding place of the secret letter. Prior to this, she noticed the different buttons on the Japanese person's clothing, knowing that it most likely concealed what they were looking for. However, her injured comrade in front of her had no intention of continuing to contribute. Only Zuo Shuang Tao kept this daunting task in mind and made sure to instruct her comrade to leave Shanghai.

Later, Zuo Shuang Tao went upstairs alone with a bag, using the excuse of looking for Chen Jia Ping. Inadvertently, she overheard a conversation inside and realized that the letter she had given to Chen Jia Ping had mysteriously disappeared there. Chen Jia Ping, who knew the truth, continued to lie and deceive everyone in front of the person involved.

The two of them, determined to take action, immediately caused a scene in front of everyone at the staircase. As Chen Jia Ping chased after them, he reminded the person to continue creating conflicts and cold wars with him in the coming days. He was still determined to find a suitable opportunity to decisively end their relationship. After seeing the person off, Chen Jia Ping ran back to his friend to discuss the plan of finding someone.
