Episode 4 recap: Ling Bao'er kills Qian Tong with her own hands.
After coming out of the hotel, Ling Bao'er was intercepted by a group of thugs. Before Ling Bao'er could take action, Zhu Guan Wen appeared in time and injured the thugs. He then took Ling Bao'er away, but he was hit on the back by one of the thugs. Someone tried to attack Zhu Guan Wen, but he stopped them. Ling Bao'er knew that this group of people was definitely acting on someone's instructions.
Zhu Guan Wen questioned them about who gave the orders. At first, the thugs were reluctant to speak, but Zhu Guan Wen threatened them with an axe, and finally, the thugs revealed that it was Dou Lili who instructed them to do so. After hearing this, Ling Bao'er beat up the thugs again. Ling Bao'er was angry because it was Zhu Guan Wen's offense against the Dou family that almost caused harm to her.
When Ling Bao'er returned home, she massaged Zhu Guan Wen's injured back. After all, he had been hit with a stick, so the injury was not light. Ling Bao'er watched everything from the side, and Deputy Mayor Dou understood that she wouldn't help him easily. Ling Bao'er proposed a deal to Deputy Mayor Dou. She wanted Qian Tong's shipping company, and in return, she promised to give him twice the profit that Qian Tong provided. Deputy Mayor Dou agreed readily.
Ling Bao'er's plan started to unfold step by step. Deputy Mayor Dou shot and killed his mistress, and then he handed Qian Tong's life over to Ling Bao'er. Ling Bao'er remembered the violation her mother suffered at the hands of Qian Tong when he worked as a steward in their house. Ling Bao'er shot Qian Tong in the head, killing him on the spot. Now, one member of the gang of four had been eliminated, and Zhu Guan Wen watched everything from a distance.
