Episode 19 recap: Xu Gangwen started to pay attention to Funny.
Kuang Lili had chosen the song she was prepared to sing when she suddenly saw the news that the cultural and creative park had been temporarily closed due to the sale of counterfeit goods. Kuang Lili quickly called Xu Baoyi. Initially, she wanted to go back and help resolve the issue, but Xu Baoyi informed her that Sophie had already hired a lawyer, so it wouldn't be necessary for her to come back. Kuang Lili recalled the scene when she acted as a marriage witness in Hong Kong. She could recite her testimony fluently, and Zhang Shuai could tell that Xu Gangren had always held a place in her heart.
Early in the morning, Fang Qing drove a luxury car to take Funny out to play. Funny was dressed very elegantly. Xu Gangwen secretly followed them, and Miao Miao noticed that Xu Gangwen wanted to track them. At first, Xu Gangwen refused to admit it, but he secretly placed a phone watch in Funny's bag. Xu Gangwen saw them playing Frisbee and then invited Miao Miao to join them. In reality, he just didn't want to lose to Fang Qing.
However, Xu Gangwen kept falling down, and Miao Miao could tell that Funny cared a lot about Xu Gangwen. However, when it came to playing rock-paper-scissors, Xu Gangwen consistently lost. After getting drunk, Miao Miao began asking Xu Gangwen if he liked Funny. But even though he was drunk, Xu Gangwen still said that he liked Miao Miao. Later, when they were checking for drunk driving, Xu Gangwen unexpectedly appeared to be very sober. Miao Miao and Xu Baoyi then realized that Xu Gangwen hadn't actually gotten drunk. Miao Miao could sense that the person Xu Gangwen liked was Funny, but no matter what, Xu Gangwen refused to admit it.
Xu Baoyi was still complaining to Shi Lei about this matter when Shi Lei gathered up the courage to confess his feelings. However, Xu Baoyi's phone rang again, and it turned out to be her ex-boyfriend asking her out for a meal. Xu Baoyi ended up going to meet him. Unexpectedly, Lele said that he had broken up with his girlfriend and that she had cheated him out of everything. He also said that his happiest times were when he was with Xu Baoyi. He then presented a ring to Xu Baoyi, hoping that they could be happy together again. Xu Baoyi accepted the ring, and this scene happened to be witnessed by Shi Lei, who thought that Xu Baoyi had accepted her ex-boyfriend again.
In reality, Xu Baoyi rejected Lele. She already had someone she liked in her heart. Soon, Xu Gangren and Sophie also investigated and found out that someone had intentionally tarnished the reputation of the cultural and creative park. However, because of this incident, many merchants were unwilling to come over.
Coincidentally, Xu Baoyi needed to find a venue for her competition, and Sophie remembered suggesting the cultural and creative park to the director. However, when they asked the director, he was aware of their recent negative news and declined the offer.
Sophie was also fired by the company for always helping the cultural and creative park. Xu Gangren helped Sophie move, and the two of them had a drink and chatted together in the evening. In reality, Xu Gangren only had Kuang Lili in his heart. He didn't want Kuang Lili to leave at all. When Xu Gangren woke up in a daze, he found himself alone, and Sophie had left a note on the table. Sophie expressed her gratitude to Xu Gangren and encouraged him to go find Kuang Lili.
Xu Gangren found Kuang Lili and wanted to take her back to Hong Kong, but Kuang Lili said they couldn't go back anymore. Their marriage had cracks, and this time Kuang Lili was truly afraid. In fact, everyone was thinking about helping Xu Gangren and Kuang Lili, hoping they could reconcile. Funny also noticed that Miao Miao and Xu Gangwen were in a cold war, and Xu Baoyi even said that Xu Gangwen liked Funny. Naturally, Funny didn't believe it.
Xu Baoyi also asked Funny if she genuinely liked Fang Qing, but Xu Baoyi could tell that Funny didn't like Fang Qing.
