Episode 13 recap: Jiang Tian gave Wu Jing Fang a second chance.
Zhou Ye Wen asked Zheng Qian if he liked Lin Xiao Xiao. Zheng Qian felt that Zhou Ye Wen could have his own infatuations but should not involve him. Zhou Ye Wen mentioned that he had known Lin Xiao Xiao for a long time but was unaware of this habit of hers. Zheng Qian jokingly said that one would know about it after having meals together for a while.
A worker asked Jiang Tian for money. Wu Jing Fang was memorizing the design drafts given by Jiang Tian, while Jiang Tian was looking for a business partner. The potential partner expressed interest in long-term collaboration, but Jiang Tian's client base was not yet stable, so the partner declined.
It turned out that the worker during the day was Zhou Ye Wen's friend. Zhou Ye Wen asked him to help Jiang Tian, but Jiang Tian did not show any interest, which made Zhou Ye Wen feel a bit embarrassed. When Jiang Tian woke up in the morning, she saw Wu Jing Fang sleeping on the sofa in the living room. She woke her up and informed her that she was going to meet with a decoration company. Wu Jing Fang wanted to accompany her, but Jiang Tian told her to stay at home and rest because studying required a clear mind.
Zheng Qian was going to have a meal with Lin Xiao Xiao again, and Zhou Ye Wen commented that he had more meals with Lin Xiao Xiao than with Zhou Ye Wen. When Zheng Qian was about to leave, he noticed that it was going to rain and asked Zhou Ye Wen to lend him an umbrella because Lin Xiao Xiao probably didn't have one.
As soon as Zhou Ye Wen took out the umbrella, he overheard Zheng Qian calling the restaurant and telling them about Lin Xiao Xiao's preferences. Zhou Ye Wen couldn't help but ask Zheng Qian if he liked Lin Xiao Xiao. Zheng Qian told him not to involve him in his infatuations.
Zheng Qian asked Zhou Ye Wen what was the purpose of being so nosy. Zhou Ye Wen replied that he wanted to pluck a few feathers from Zheng Qian, who was like an iron rooster. Zheng Qian then mentioned that the ice in the second-floor refrigerator belonged to Jiang Tian. Upon hearing this, Zhou Ye Wen quickly left.
Jiang Tian went to meet many decoration companies but was rejected by all of them. She didn't lose heart and went to meet Ma Gong. She introduced the projects she had on hand to Ma Gong, who asked about the budget. Jiang Tian told him that the budget was the biggest challenge for this project, as they couldn't offer much money. Ma Gong straightforwardly stated that such projects had low workload and little opportunity for profit.
After Ma Gong finished speaking, he returned to his desk to attend to other tasks. Jiang Tian remembered Wu Jing Fang's advice that telling the truth also required skills. She then told Ma Gong that although her client base was not stable, she had many potential customers, including restaurants and others.
Jiang Tian returned home and waited for Ma Gong to call her. She had lost hope of receiving his call, but unexpectedly Ma Gong called her and they successfully signed the contract.
Jiang Tian took Zhu Zhu with her to select furniture, and Wu Jing Fang also helped her at home. Their cooperation was getting better and better. While Wu Jing Fang was feeling dizzy from memorizing the design drafts, she received a WeChat message from Lao Ding, inviting her to participate in a community event.
Wu Jing Fang invited Lao Ding to go shopping, and she bought a Bluetooth headset. She wanted Lao Ding to read the answers to her during exams. Lao Ding understood the situation and felt that she couldn't help with this favor. In their line of work, it involved the safety of every household. While Wu Jing Fang was having a meal, she suddenly saw Wang Ping and hurriedly chased after him, but Wang Ping saw her and ran away.
Wu Jing Fang caught up with Wang Ping in the restroom and told him not to meddle in the conflicts between the two children. She had something very important to ask for his help. Jiang Tian called Ma Gong's supervisor to inform him that the construction team would be half an hour late. Unexpectedly, the person who answered the call was Ma Gong's daughter, who said she would help pass on the message to her father.
Jiang Tian arrived at Zhu Zhu's house and asked Wu Jing Fang to inspect the actual construction site and report any issues. This would serve as Wu Jing Fang's assessment. Wu Jing Fang became a bit flustered because she thought she only needed to follow the construction drawings.
She told Jiang Tian that she couldn't memorize the construction drawings given to her and couldn't meet the level of assistant that Jiang Tian expected. She told Jiang Tian that she wouldn't bother her anymore and left after saying so. Wu Jing Fang, feeling very dejected, sought out Ding Su E and Wang Ping. Both of them advised her that the difficulty of this job was too great for her and encouraged her to enjoy her life as a senior.
When Wu Jing Fang returned home, she received a call from her ex-husband. While she was feeling very upset, Ding Su E created a group chat, and Wu Jing Fang felt much better after reading their conversation. Jiang Tian found Wu Jing Fang and asked her to bring the construction drawings to the site. Wu Jing Fang was extremely excited that Jiang Tian was willing to give her another chance.
