Episode 14 recap: Jiang Tian is preparing to borrow money for renovations.
Jiang Tian receives a call from Zhu Zhu, who tells him that the construction team has wrecked her house. Zhu Zhu looks at the mess and bursts into tears. Jiang Tian tells her not to be upset and promises to take responsibility for her home and all the losses incurred.The police inform them that Ma Ronghua, also known as Ma Gong, has already fled, and the house has been vacated. With Ma Ronghua gone, the workers come to Jiang Tian demanding money. Wu Jing Fang tries to stop them but her strength is no match, and they push her against the wall. Zhou Ye Wen arrives just in time and drives those people away.
Wu Jing Fang asks Jiang Tian what to do next. Jiang Tian says that since Ma Ronghua has already taken the money and left, they'll have to find another construction team for the renovations. Jiang Tian is barely awake when he receives another call from Zhu Zhu, who tells him that the construction team has wrecked her house. Jiang Tian hurries over and sees Zhu Zhu's house in a complete mess. Zhu Zhu is sitting in the corner, crying uncontrollably.
Zhu Zhu's husband sees Jiang Tian and asks him what's going on. Jiang Tian explains that it happened because the workers couldn't get their money. Zhu Zhu gets extremely emotional and confronts Jiang Tian, asking if she didn't already give him the money. Wu Jing Fang interjects and says that Ma Ronghua took all the money.
Zhu Zhu is devastated. This house was built with their hard-earned money, scraped together by her and her husband. They have no money left. Does it mean they have to sell their blood? Wu Jing Fang tries to console Zhu Zhu, while Jiang Tian suddenly speaks up, saying that she will take responsibility.
She had promised Zhu Zhu a house, and this house is not only significant to Zhu Zhu and her husband but also holds great importance for Jiang Tian. It represents her return to Suzhou as a true guest. Wu Jing Fang follows her outside and asks how she can take responsibility when she has no money. Jiang Tian says she can borrow it if she doesn't have money.
She knows that she will face difficulties in Suzhou as most people look down on young designers. Now she has been slapped hard. Jiang Tian goes to a loan company to apply for a loan but finds the interest rate too high and decides to leave. Just as she leaves, she runs into Lin Xiao Xiao and quickly asks the staff about the business Jiang Tian conducted. The staff tells her that Jiang Tian applied for a loan.
Wu Jing Fang goes to Zhou Ye Wen's shop to vent her frustration, and coincidentally, Uncle Jiang sends a message to Zhou Ye Wen. He asks Zhou Ye Wen about the current situation of Jiang Tian and Wu Jing Fang. Zhou Ye Wen tells Uncle Jiang that he has something to tell him.
Jiang Tian finds the worker she had previously rejected, who is also a friend of Zhou Ye Wen. She learns from Xiao Qiu that he has taken on another project. Jiang Tian asks if he doesn't have time for other projects. Xiao Qiu explains that normally, after finishing the plumbing and electrical work, one can take on other projects. However, this one is somewhat special, so they won't consider other projects for now.
Jiang Tian doesn't know what to say for a moment. Xiao Qiu seems to sense that she has something on her mind and cautiously asks if their project has encountered any problems. Wu Jing Fang and Wang Ping arrive at Ma Ronghua's company. They see that the door is locked, and Wang Ping prepares to leave. However, Wu Jing Fang notices a window, and the two of them climb in through it.
While Wu Jing Fang is searching for things, suddenly the landlord appears from behind and asks her what she's doing. Just then, Wang Ping comes in from outside and smashes a beer bottle on the landlord's head. The situation escalates to the police station, and Zhou Ye Wen and Wang Ke Han are also summoned there. Fortunately, the landlord doesn't press charges and even provides them with Ma Ronghua's current address.
Jiang Tian wants to ask Lin Xiao Xiao if she has any spare money. She is truly broke, but she quickly retracts the message. However, Lin Xiao Xiao still sees the message and quickly calls Jiang Tian to ask what's going on. Jiang Tian tells her that she sent the message to the wrong person, but Lin Xiao Xiao is concerned and keeps asking if something is wrong. Jiang Tian assures her that everything is fine.
Lin Xiao Xiao asks her mother for the money that she had kept with her, but her mother refuses. She believes that Jiang Tian's income is unstable, and there's no guarantee she will be able to repay the money. She also expresses concern that their friendship might be affected in the end.
Jiang Tian's father suggests that she should find a job. Given the current situation, opening a studio is not suitable for her. Jiang Tian realizes that Zhou Ye Wen must have told her father about it. She ends up arguing with her father because of this. Lin Xiao Xiao asks Zheng Qian to lend money to help Jiang Tian.
