Episode 19 recap: Zhang Xiao Qiu and Jiang Tian collaborated.
Xiao Qiu was admitted to the hospital, and his master recognized Jiang Tian and said she was the person who made his disciple work for free. Jiang Tian and Wu Jing Fang got drunk, and Zhou Ye Wen couldn't figure out why they were drinking so much. Zhou Ye Wen and Zheng Qian had to take them back home.
Jiang Tian recalled her college days with Zhou Ye Wen and shared their story with Wu Jing Fang. Wu Jing Fang said she understood their situation back then and that it's inevitable to have misunderstandings when living in different cities. Wu Jing Fang told her that she knew Zhou Ye Wen didn't break up with her just because of the long-distance relationship.
When Wu Jing Fang was buying breakfast, she happened to run into Zhou Ye Wen. Zhou Ye Wen asked why she was the one buying breakfast, and Wu Jing Fang sarcastically asked if she was Zhou Ye Wen's first love. Wu Jing Fang mocked Zhou Ye Wen, saying that Jiang Tian was the one who made him cry back then. Before Zhou Ye Wen could say anything, Wu Jing Fang left with a smile.
Lin Xiao Xiao once again asked Zheng Qian to act as a shield and reject her blind date. But this time, the person who came happened to be Xiao Xiao's childhood friend. Zheng Qian watched them reminisce about the past, laugh and talk together, and quietly left.
Xiao Qiu wanted to change careers and buy a truck for transportation. When he came to see the car, the seller asked him if he had really decided to change careers because transportation doesn't earn as much as engineering. Xiao Qiu told him that he had thought it through and wanted a stable income. Just as Xiao Qiu was about to go refuel the car, he received a call from Xiao Hai. Xiao Hai told him that Lao Cheng wasn't paying him his wages. Xiao Qiu told him not to worry and that he would go find Lao Cheng.
Zhang Xiao Qiu found Lao Cheng and felt that their personal grudges had nothing to do with Xiao Hai's situation. Lao Cheng told Zhang Xiao Qiu that there was deep enmity between the two of them and that Xiao Qiu could take revenge however he liked, but he needed to pay Xiao Hai's wages first. Zhou Ye Wen invited Jiang Tian to dinner, but Jiang Tian received a call from Xiao Hai, who told her that Xiao Qiu was in the hospital.
Jiang Tian and Wu Jing Fang hurried to the hospital, and Xiao Qiu's master asked why they were there. They wanted to discuss a collaboration with Xiao Qiu, but his master said their studio had just started, so they should wait until they have the studio up and running. Xiao Qiu was about to speak but was stopped by his master.
Wu Jing Fang walked out and angrily called Xiao Qiu's master an old fossil. Xiao Qiu was about to agree, but Wu Jing Fang intervened and he didn't say anything anymore. Jiang Tian, on the other hand, thought they should just let things take their course. Xiao Qiu's car was crushed by Lao Cheng and couldn't be repaired. The mechanic said the money needed to fix the car would be enough for Xiao Qiu to buy a used one.
After thinking for a while, Xiao Qiu went to find Jiang Tian again and asked if she still needed a decorator. Jiang Tian was very happy that Xiao Qiu agreed to work with them. Wu Jing Fang asked him if his master was reluctant when they were in the hospital. Xiao Qiu told them that his master was actually easy to get along with, but he had been cheated by unscrupulous businesses before, so his master didn't trust unfamiliar people.
Xiao Qiu wanted to invite Wu Jing Fang and Jiang Tian to have a meal with his master as a gesture of goodwill. Once he became familiar with his master, he would surely agree to take on the project. Wu Jing Fang asked Xiao Qiu if he hadn't grown up or if he was just trying to please his master. Xiao Qiu felt that he would only feel at ease working if his master agreed.
Wu Jing Fang brought alcohol and had a meal and drinks with Xiao Qiu's master, Lao Xie. The four of them got drunk and had a great time. When Zhou Ye Wen saw Wu Jing Fang and Jiang Tian, they were already heavily intoxicated. Wu Jing Fang heard Zhou Ye Wen's voice and lifted her head, claiming that she could still drink.
Zhou Ye Wen was about to help her get into the car, but Wu Jing Fang refused and asked Lao Zheng to assist her instead, while Zhou Ye Wen helped Jiang Tian. The next day, Jiang Tian woke up to the news that Xiao Qiu's master had agreed to collaborate with them, and she was very happy.
Lin Xiao Xiao went to Jiang Tian's house to shoot a short video for her. Wu Jing Fang dressed up extravagantly because she was in a joyful mood. They went to discuss the specifics of the decoration with Lao Li Jia He. The two brothers argued over a minor plumbing issue, but with Jiang Tian and Xiao Qiu's professional explanations, Li Jia He didn't make a big deal out of it.
Wu Jing Fang asked Jiang Tian to teach her more professional knowledge. She also wanted to solve difficulties for Jiang Tian using her professional expertise, just like Xiao Qiu. Xiao Qiu also officially started working.
