Episode 3 recap: Jiang Tian took Wu Jing Fang to meet a client.
Wu Jing Fang's older sister found out that she had moved out on her own and became very worried about her. She gave Wu Jing Fang one month to find a job, and if she couldn't, she would have to face reality. Jiang Tian went to find her best friend, Xiaoxiao, and told her about her current troubles. Xiaoxiao invited her to stay at her place.
Jiang Tian told Xiaoxiao that she didn't want to be forced by her parents to sleep at ten o'clock. Xiaoxiao asked her what about her boyfriend in Suzhou. Jiang Tian told her that she had time to visit him on Sundays. After so many years, one more year wouldn't make much of a difference. Xiaoxiao thought breaking up would be the best option. In her heart, Jiang Tian and Zhou Ye Wen were the most compatible. They would play and joke around.
Zhou Ye Wen came to see Wu Jing Fang and asked if she felt uncomfortable. If she did, she could find another place to live or move in with him. Wu Jing Fang told him that she believed in fate, and she wanted to live there. Zhou Ye Wen told her that Jiang Tian seemed quite fierce, so maybe she should consider moving out. Wu Jing Fang asked if Zhou Ye Wen was afraid of Jiang Tian and if he only came today because she wasn't there.
After returning in two days, Jiang Tian talked to Wu Jing Fang about moving. Wu Jing Fang pretended to go to sleep. Jiang Tian prepared dumplings for a late-night snack, and when Wu Jing Fang heard the noise, she came out too. She asked Jiang Tian to make more dumplings because she wanted to eat them too. The two of them ate dumplings together, and Jiang Tian smiled slightly.
Zhou Ye Wen told Uncle Jiang that his aunt was determined to stay there and couldn't be persuaded otherwise. Uncle Jiang said he understood and let it be. Every day before going to work, Wu Jing Fang would touch her new car. Jiang Tian and Wu Jing Fang came to work together at the company, but as they arrived at the front desk, the receptionist asked Wu Jing Fang to go downstairs and get coffee. Jiang Tian asked why the receptionist didn't do it herself, and the receptionist murmured that in this company, everyone knew that they were the least busy. Jiang Tian retorted, saying that even if they were idle, they were still busier than her.
Hu De Xiang came to tell Wu Jing Fang that two crucial pieces of data were missing from yesterday's measurements. Jiang Tian told her that she reported the data, and Wu Jing Fang wrote it down.
She told Hu De Xiang to blame herself if anyone had to be blamed. Hu De Xiang told her that he wasn't blaming them but rather the urgency of the client's demands. Jiang Tian told him that she had a solution. After the problem was resolved, Jiang Tian told Hu De Xiang that there were no issues with the data she wrote or Wu Jing Fang transcribed. If there were any problems, it was because someone made a mistake while transcribing onto the computer. Hu De Xiang assured her that he would investigate and find out.
The other people in the company started assigning tasks to Wu Jing Fang again, and Jiang Tian didn't like it. She went to find the manager and asked to take over Qian Lao Ban's work. At first, the manager refused, but Jiang Tian offered her own job as a bet. If she failed, she would voluntarily resign.
When Zhao Xue heard the news that Wu Jing Fang needed the contact information for a hotel, she hurriedly ran to tell Hu De Xiang because she thought Hu De Xiang was very capable and wanted to work with her. As expected, Zhao Xue shared the information with Hu De Xiang, and Hu De Xiang asked her to be involved in the plan as well.
When Jiang Tian and Wu Jing Fang went to talk to Qian Lao Ban, Hu De Xiang quickly followed. She presented her prepared draft to Qian Lao Ban, who was very satisfied.
Qian Lao Ban asked for Jiang Tian's opinion, and she told him that the style was not suitable, pointing out the inappropriate parts directly. Qian Lao Ban became somewhat unhappy, and the two of them left. Wu Jing Fang told Jiang Tian that speaking like that could easily offend people.
Jiang Tian went to chat with Xiaoxiao, and Xiaoxiao agreed with what Wu Jing Fang had said. Jiang Tian felt that she had always been good to others since she was young. Xiaoxiao said that she thought Jiang Tian was a good person once she got to know her, but no one could really get close to her.
While the two were chatting, Xiaoxiao's mother came in and asked Jiang Tian if she had a partner. Jiang Tian told her that her partner was in Beijing. Xiaoxiao's mother thought long-distance relationships were unreliable. When Jiang Tian returned home, she saw that Wu Jing Fang had prepared a table full of dishes. Wu Jing Fang invited Jiang Tian to eat together, and while they were eating, they discussed Qian Lao Ban's requirements.
