Episode 31 recap: Zhang Xiao Qiu and their master-disciple duo helped Jiang Tian.
Although Jiang Tian rushed to submit another manuscript to Mr. Lu, he said that the second one couldn't compare to the first one, so he decided to terminate their collaboration. Wu Jing Fang was working in a doll costume when Jiang Tian noticed. Jiang Shu felt that he had caused trouble for Jiang Tian, and Zhou Ye Wen told him that it would sadden Jiang Tian if she found out.
Jiang Tian accompanied her father in the hospital. She reassured him that everything was fine and his blood pressure had stabilized. She told him that he was tired and should continue sleeping as it would aid in his recovery. Zhou Ye Wen came to the hospital to visit Jiang Shu. Seeing Jiang Tian looking exhausted, he asked her to go rest while he stayed with her father for a while.
Jiang Tian was reluctant to leave, but Zhou Ye Wen touched her head and commented on a strange smell, suggesting that she go home and take a shower first. When Jiang Tian returned home, she saw Wu Jing Fang preparing to bring food to her father. Wu Jing Fang told her to focus on her design drafts and assured her that she would take care of her father.
When Wu Jing Fang arrived at the hospital, Zhou Ye Wen was about to feed water to Jiang Shu but didn't know how to do it with him sleeping. Wu Jing Fang instructed him to use a cotton swab and told Zhou Ye Wen to go back and attend to his own duties since he wouldn't be of much help here. Zhou Ye Wen had no choice but to leave.
Jiang Tian brought her redesigned drafts to see Mr. Lu, who commented that the current draft was not as good as the previous one. Moreover, Hu De Xiang brought a friend yesterday to advocate for Jiang Tian's innocence. Mr. Lu believed that their words couldn't be taken as evidence, and he felt that the matter couldn't be concluded. Therefore, he decided to terminate their collaboration.
Jiang Tian felt extremely regretful but had no other choice. Mr. Lu mentioned that although they couldn't work together anymore, he saw Jiang Tian and Wu Jing Fang's figures that day. He found it very heartwarming and decided to draw a picture of the two and give it to Jiang Tian.
As Jiang Tian looked at the drawing, memories of her moments with Wu Jing Fang flooded her mind, warming her heart. Just as Jiang Tian arrived at the hospital, she saw her aunt who came to visit. The two went outside to chat for a while. Jiang Tian's aunt explained that they had no other options because her son was getting married and they were one house short.
They had found a house they liked, but they didn't have enough money, so they had to sell House No. 33. Although she felt sorry for Jiang Tian, there was no other way. Jiang Tian told her aunt that there was no need to apologize as it was their house to begin with.
Jiang Tian told Wu Jing Fang about the situation, and Wu Jing Fang felt that buying a house within two months was incredibly difficult.
Wu Jing Fang was wearing a toy costume while promoting Studio No. 33. Jiang Tian heard her voice and paused to call Wu Jing Fang. She asked where Wu Jing Fang was, and Wu Jing Fang pretended that she was singing with Ding Su E and others, not wanting Jiang Tian to worry about her.
All of this was seen by Jiang Tian, who stood not far away. She felt distressed, and tears uncontrollably streamed down her face. Jiang Tian approached Wu Jing Fang and told her that she had come to accompany her. Mr. Yu found Jiang Tian and informed them that he had an unfinished house and was planning to renovate it for himself. Jiang Tian assured him that he need not worry and that she could show him the original images. Mr. Yu, however, expressed his desire for Jiang Tian to present him with a design draft first and said that he would sign the contract if he found it satisfactory. Wu Jing Fang informed him that they didn't have such a precedent, but Jiang Tian assured him that it was possible.
Jiang Tian had revised the design several times, but they kept getting rejected. Wu Jing Fang couldn't see any issues and wondered when they would reach a satisfactory version. Jiang Tian suggested that Wu Jing Fang join her in revising the draft, but Wu Jing Fang declined due to Zhao Mei's family matters.
Wu Jing Fang looked at the previous drafts together and identified the problem. She and Zhou Ye Wen went to Mr. Yu's house, only to find that the renovation had already begun. When Wu Jing Fang saw that they were using the designs created by Jiang Tian, she returned home and informed Jiang Tian about it. Jiang Tian had Mr. Yu send her the down payment.
Jiang Tian had a nightmare where everyone was pressuring her, and she woke up in fear. As soon as she opened the door, she saw Zhang Xiao Qiu sitting outside. She recalled dreaming about Zhang Xiao Qiu asking her for her salary. Jiang Tian quickly informed Xiao Qiu that she had forgotten and would call him later.
