Episode 33 recap: Zhou Ye Wen went abroad.
After Lin Xiao Xiao cleaned up the house, Jiang Tian, Wu Jing Fang, and Zhou Ye Wen came to celebrate. Jiang Tian was interested in the cabinets that Lin Xiao Xiao hadn't installed yet, but Lin Xiao Xiao told her not to deprive herself of the joy of living alone. On the way back home, Wu Jing Fang's phone kept ringing, so Jiang Tian, who was sitting in the passenger seat, answered it for her. Jiang Tian discovered it was Zhou Ye Wen's mother and quickly handed the phone to Zhou Ye Wen. Zhou's mother answered the call with excitement. She had been proposed to and the wedding was scheduled to take place in three weeks. Zhou Ye Wen and Wu Jing Fang were invited to attend the wedding.
Zhou Ye Wen was not in a good mood. He said there was something going on at the store and couldn't go, then quickly hung up the phone. Wu Jing Fang was driving too slowly and was scolded by a passing car, which led to a rare argument between Zhou Ye Wen and the other driver. Zhou Ye Wen was in a bad mood, so Jiang Tian, seeing that he didn't want to talk, could only take Wu Jing Fang home with her.
Zhou Ye Wen went to find Zheng Qian for a drink. He had a happy childhood with his parents by his side, carefree. However, happiness can't always be preserved. Zhou Ye Wen called Jiang Tian, hoping she could accompany him for a while. After talking for a while, Jiang Tian comforted him, and the next day, Zhou Ye Wen immediately took Wu Jing Fang to apply for a visa.
Lin Xiao Xiao had a water leak at home and was approached by the neighbor upstairs, who was quite unreasonable. Fortunately, Zheng Qian came. Zheng Qian said he was delivering something on behalf of Zhou Ye Wen. Lin Xiao Xiao quickly thanked him and asked him to leave.
Jiang Tian told Wu Jing Fang that she wasn't as good as they thought she was. In high school, she was admitted to study architecture in Beijing as her second choice, but she had always longed for it. Jiang Tian asked Wu Jing Fang to accompany her to the art studio, where she had been studying since high school, but the teacher said her drawings were not as good as Wu Jing Fang's.
The teacher showed Jiang Tian the paintings she had made here before. Jiang Tian always wanted to learn something new each time she came, but the teacher wanted her to understand that it wasn't important. Zhou Ye Wen's visa was approved, while Wu Jing Fang didn't pass. Jiang Tian started practicing drawing again.
Shortly after, Zhou Ye Wen went to Australia to attend his mother's wedding. Wu Jing Fang was extremely envious because the immigration officer believed she had an inclination to immigrate, so she couldn't attend the wedding. Jiang Tian tried to practice drawing, but she wasn't feeling at ease. Wu Jing Fang sat down and helped her draw, which made Jiang Tian find it amusing.
Hu De Xiang took the initiative to find Jiang Tian, but it wasn't about the plagiarism incident. She believed that it was in the past, but Jiang Tian couldn't let it go. Hu De Xiang mentioned that the incident didn't only affect Jiang Tian; it also had an impact on her career.
Hu De Xiang hoped that Jiang Tian could collaborate with her to participate in a design competition. She admitted that she was weaker in architectural design and hoped Jiang Tian could help her. Jiang Tian didn't agree, but Hu De Xiang asked her to consider it.
Lin Xiao Xiao was called out for a conversation with the director because she didn't attend a meeting. The director reminded her not to let personal matters affect her work and to consider her parents' situation. Lin Xiao Xiao felt distressed and immediately wrote a resignation letter. Jiang Tian's father would be discharged from the hospital tomorrow, and Wu Jing Fang planned to temporarily move out and stay with Zhou Ye Wen for a while to allow Jiang Tian's father to rest properly.
Zhou Ye Wen was busy helping his mother manage the restaurant in Australia.
I used to think this drama had its merits, but in the last few episodes, I feel like the screenwriter's mind went off track. When it comes to the issue of water leakage in the rented apartment, shouldn't the tenants first approach the landlord?
It's unrealistic to relentlessly bother the newly moved-in tenants, and it's absurd to involve maintenance workers in inspecting their own homes. Why create unnecessary conflicts and tensions?
After watching over thirty episodes, I've been waiting for things to take a turn for the better, but nothing goes smoothly. I can't see any glimpse of hope. It's just like my own life. Even watching a drama makes me feel depressed and lose faith in life.
I should watch more shows that are full of positive energy.
I initially wanted to watch this drama to uplift myself or find some inspiration, but it ended up making me feel emo. Some of the plotlines forced the protagonists to act foolishly. One is an old man who has experienced many ups and downs in life, while the other is a designer who has been struggling in Beijing for nearly ten years and aims to become a lead investigator.
Is it really plausible for them to be so naive? Additionally, there is a stark contrast between the youth-oriented scenes and the adult-oriented scenes, with the main characters having completely different personalities without any reasonable explanation.
Was it the producers' decision to forcefully insert these characters? It gave me such a heart attack. Can't it be more realistic and logical?
