Episode 6 recap: Jiang Tian and Fang Yuan Qing broke up.
Zhou Ye Wen told Zheng Qian that his heart has been racing recently and wondered if he should go check it out. Zheng Qian told him that she saw someone with someone else that day, and Zhou Ye Wen asked her not to play dumb. When Jiang Tian looked for Fang Yuan Qing, he accidentally answered his video call and discovered that he was having an affair.
Early in the morning, a customer came to ask for a refund from Li Tong because she was selling her house and no longer needed renovation. Wu Jing Fang saw Jiang Tian arriving and quickly went over to tell her that the woman had bought a house for marriage but broke up with her boyfriend for some reason. Jiang Tian was curious how she knew, and Wu Jing Fang told her that she overheard it.
Jiang Tian asked her to move back in today since Fang Yuan Qing was staying in a hotel. Wu Jing Fang jokingly said that Jiang Tian wanted her to move out, to which Jiang Tian asked if she intended to move out completely. Wu Jing Fang replied that she was not joking.
Someone came to interview Wu Jing Fang because she was the oldest participant in the Li Tong Zero Plan. Qian Lao Ban told Liu Jing Li that Jiang Tian had a bad attitude, and Liu Jing Li scolded Jiang Tian and ordered Wu Jing Fang to clean the meeting room.
Wu Jing Fang told Jiang Tian that the cleaning aunt had finished work and she would go and clean the meeting room and come back soon. Jiang Tian was very angry and told her to go be a cleaning aunt. Fang Yuan Qing called Jiang Tian and asked if she had arrived. Jiang Tian was still working and almost forgot about it.
After hanging up the phone, Jiang Tian quickly took a taxi to find Fang Yuan Qing. When she opened the door, she found the room decorated in a very romantic way, and Fang Yuan Qing took out a ring and proposed to Jiang Tian. He told her that this was the purpose of his visit to Suzhou, as a long-distance relationship was too difficult for him.
Jiang Tian agreed to Fang Yuan Qing's proposal and asked if they could wait for a specific wedding date until both of their careers were stable before getting married. Fang Yuan Qing agreed, and just as Jiang Tian's phone rang again, it was a call from Qian Lao Ban asking her to send him the proposal.
Zhou Ye Wen asked Zheng Qian to open a bottle of wine for him, and Zheng Qian reminded him to remember to pay the bill. Zhou Ye Wen said there was no need to pay for his own wine at home, but Zheng Qian insisted they should, to keep track of expenses. Zheng Qian told Zhou Ye Wen that she saw someone with someone else a few days ago, and Zhou Ye Wen asked why he was playing dumb. Zheng Qian felt that Zhou Ye Wen should also start dating as they have been single for a long time.
Jiang Tian brought Fang Yuan Qing to meet her father and told him that they were getting married. Uncle Jiang thought it was too impulsive to talk about marriage on their first meeting. Jiang Tian explained that they had been together for four years and knew each other well, so she trusted him completely.
Uncle Jiang wondered why they were only telling him now after being together for four years. Jiang Tian replied that they hadn't met many times in the past four years. Uncle Jiang asked if Fang Yuan Qing could handle alcohol, and Jiang Tian said they both could handle a little. Uncle Jiang knew his daughter's character and temperament, so he understood that his words wouldn't affect their decision to get married.
Uncle Jiang asked if Fang Yuan Qing had a house in Beijing because he thought it wouldn't be appropriate to get married without a house. Jiang Tian felt that her father hadn't interfered much in her life from childhood, so she didn't want him to interfere too much in this marriage. After saying that, Jiang Tian left, and Fang Yuan Qing followed to see her. Uncle Jiang muttered to himself about having no money or house and wondering if he would suffer in the future.
Jiang Tian told Fang Yuan Qing that her father had never smiled at her since she was young, and she gradually stopped communicating with him. She handled everything on her own and didn't want to rely on her father. She wished she could have a close relationship with her father, but she couldn't do it. She had even lost the ability to do so.
Lin Xiao Xiao was going on blind dates again, and her date asked why she had gotten divorced. Lin Xiao Xiao refused to answer the question, and the man assumed it was because she was infertile. Jiang Tian arrived just in time and helped Lin Xiao Xiao out of the awkward situation.
Jiang Tian told Lin Xiao Xiao that she had agreed to get engaged to Fang Yuan Qing, and Lin Xiao Xiao was very happy. She suggested inviting Zhou Ye Wen and their friends to celebrate their engagement.
Jiang Tian's phone ran out of battery, so she took Fang Yuan Qing's phone downstairs to buy water. Suddenly, a video call came in, and Jiang Tian answered it. It was a girl who quickly hung up when she saw Jiang Tian. Jiang Tian looked through their chat history and glanced at the ring on her hand, laughing at herself. As a result, they broke up because of it.
