Episode 9 recap: Wu Jing Fang secretly helped Jiang Tian.
Jiang Tian took Wu Jing Fang's toiletries and changed clothes and gave them to Zhou Ye Wen. Zhou Ye Wen asked her whose belongings these were, and Jiang Tian replied that they belonged to Wu Jing Fang, who was staying with him. Zhou Ye Wen said that Wu Jing Fang had left after eating and wanted to talk to Jiang Tian. Jiang Tian quickly called Wu Jing Fang, but unexpectedly, Wu Jing Fang asked Zhou Ye Wen to answer the call for her. Jiang Tian asked Zhou Ye Wen if it was amusing to deceive Wu Jing Fang like this.
Zhou Ye Wen said she wanted to see if Jiang Tian really disliked Wu Jing Fang. Jiang Tian replied that she would worry if anyone went missing. Zhou Ye Wen said that Jiang Tian wouldn't worry if she went missing, but Jiang Tian clarified that she hadn't gone missing.
Uncle Jiang came to Zhou Ye Wen's place to deliver crab sauce and noticed that Wu Jing Fang was also there. He asked if Jiang Tian had upset Wu Jing Fang. Wu Jing Fang denied it, and Uncle Jiang asked her to let him know if there was anything she needed. Wu Jing Fang made noodles for Zhou Ye Wen. While they were talking, Wu Jing Fang's phone rang. It was a call from Wang Ke Han's mother.
Wu Jing Fang told Jiang Tian that her mother was doing her hair and asked if she wanted to come over. Wu Jing Fang asked her to send the location and requested a favor from Zhou Ye Wen. Zhou Ye Wen brought the noodles Wu Jing Fang made to Jiang Tian and casually asked about Wu Jing Fang's whereabouts. Zhou Ye Wen informed her that Wu Jing Fang had gone out early in the morning to meet a client. Wang Ke Han's mother told Wu Jing Fang that she didn't want to live with her daughter because she would have to serve her when she was there. Jiang Tian sent a WeChat message to Wu Jing Fang asking her to clarify Wang Ke Han's mother's requirements and mentioned that the noodles Wu Jing Fang made were delicious.
In the evening, Wu Jing Fang returned home, and Jiang Tian returned her notebook. Jiang Tian asked Wu Jing Fang about the robot drawings in her notebook, and Wu Jing Fang explained that it was because Wang Ke Han's mother wanted a floor-cleaning robot, but their home had many hard-to-reach corners, so they would need Jiang Tian's design expertise. Wu Jing Fang said there were many questions she couldn't answer herself and asked Jiang Tian to accompany her to meet Wang Ke Han's mother the next day. As they arrived at Wang Ke Han's house, Wang Ke Han's mother immediately took them both to do morning exercises, which turned out to be playing mahjong.
In the evening, they were pulled together to dance the rumba. Wu Jing Fang's shoes got damaged. She asked Zhou Ye Wen to bring her a pair of shoes. When Zhou Ye Wen arrived, she happened to see that Jiang Tian couldn't dance. Wang Ke Han's mother didn't want to dance with Jiang Tian anymore and wanted to dance with Wu Jing Fang instead.
Jiang Tian was not willing to give up. She thought that she couldn't possibly fail to learn a single dance. She pulled Zhou Ye Wen to dance with her. After spending a day with Wang Ke Han's mother, Jiang Tian felt that her mother was fine living alone. She shared this idea with Wang Ke Han and mentioned that her home only needed simple renovations.
Wang Ke Han panicked when she heard this. She believed that if it was just a renovation, she could find someone else to do it. Jiang Tian felt that Wang Ke Han would feel more at ease if she personally took on the project. Wang Ke Han told her that her mother had fallen recently, and she was worried about her mother, which was why she wanted to live with her.
Jiang Tian told her that she understood, but Wang Ke Han said she wouldn't understand because she didn't have a mother. After saying that, she realized her words were inappropriate and apologized to Jiang Tian. Jiang Tian told her that for the sake of this project, she and Wu Jing Fang had experienced the life of the elderly, and she wanted to make Wang Ke Han's home her masterpiece.
Jiang Tian felt that if the people living in that house were not satisfied, how could it be considered a masterpiece? If Wang Ke Han insisted on her own ideas, Jiang Tian told her to find someone else. When they returned home, Wu Jing Fang told Jiang Tian that Wang Ke Han's mother had argued with her when she went home, but she had compromised. She decided not to move back home and live with her mother.
However, Jiang Tian would still handle the renovation of the old house. Jiang Tian was very happy and brought her design drawings to show Wang Ke Han's mother, who was very satisfied. Jiang Tian discussed the issue of the down payment with Wang Ke Han. Based on Wang Ke Han's behavior, Wu Jing Fang pulled Jiang Tian aside, feeling uncertain if the payment would come through.
Wang Ke Han and Jiang Tian went to the furniture store together. When Wang Ke Han heard a few words from the store owner, she started to doubt Jiang Tian. Fortunately, they ran into Hu De Xiang, who spoke a few words in support of Jiang Tian, and Wang Ke Han's doubts were dispelled.
