Episode 10 recap: Lord Jiang was killed.
After Lord Fang was captured, he curiously asked Shen Xiuning and the others why they were unharmed even though they had drunk the mushroom soup. Jiang Liqi smiled and answered that they had already discovered the problem with the mushroom soup. Lord Fang voluntarily admitted that he disguised himself as a female ghost and committed the murders, willing to do anything for Fang Runsheng. However, Shen Xiuning knew he was lying and pointed out that he was not the killer. In desperation, Lord Fang kidnapped Jiang Liqi, and a voice sounded in the room, instructing him to immediately kill Jiang Liqi.
After Fang Runsheng's suicide, Shen Xiuning explained to everyone that Fang Runsheng was the murderer of Mrs. Jiang. As the mushroom soup could paralyze people, Fang Runsheng disguised himself as a chef and infiltrated the Jiang family. He first made Mrs. Jiang drink the mushroom soup and then performed a ritual sacrifice by removing her heart. To confuse the situation, they also created the illusion of a female ghost committing the murders. Jiang Liqi's main quest was completed, and Xiao Pang Ya appeared again. Jiang Liqi initially thought she had come to take her back to reality, but unexpectedly, a bug occurred in the game, and Xiao Pang Ya suddenly froze in place. After Xiao Pang Ya disappeared, Jiang Liqi was sent into a dreamland, where she and Shen Xiuning got married.
After coming out of the dreamland, Jiang Liqi had deep feelings for Shen Xiuning, and his feelings were mutual. Shen Xiuning still had the red string tied to his hand and cherished the time they spent together with the string. He brought Jiang Liqi to the marketplace, intending to buy a headdress for her as a gift, but they were interrupted by Li Canglang. Xiao Pang Ya appeared again and informed Jiang Liqi that the game bug had been fixed. Jiang Liqi initially thought Xiao Pang Ya was going to send her back, but then she revealed that they had entered the second chapter of the game, "Soul Hunt." Jiang Liqi breathed a sigh of relief.
In the main quest of "Soul Hunt," Lord Jiang suddenly died. Shen Xiuning and Jiang Liqi went to the crime scene and found Lord Jiang wearing red clothes, hanging from a big tree. Jiang Liqi examined the body and discovered that he was hanged after being killed.
