Episode 24 recap: Jiang Li and Shen Xiuning meet in the real world.
Li Canglang is about to take Fengnian to the county government office when Rui Xue suddenly stops him. After Fengnian is taken away, Shen Xiuning holds Jiang Li's hand and tells her that his nightmare has been lifted. From now on, it should be his turn to protect her. Jiang Li's mission is complete, and Xiao Pangya appears in front of him, congratulating him on being able to return to the real world. Jiang Li doesn't want to be separated from Shen Xiuning, but Xiao Pangya uses an invisible net to separate them.
Li Canglang is about to take Fengnian to the county government office when Rui Xue suddenly stops him. She kneels down and begs Shen Xiuning to show mercy to her brother because the deaths of those people were deserved. However, Shen Xiuning sighs and tells her that it would be best for her brother to surrender himself, and he will plead for Fengnian in front of the county official. After Fengnian is taken away, Shen Xiuning holds Jiang Li's hand and tells her that his nightmare has been lifted, and from now on, it should be his turn to protect her. However, Jiang Li appears to be burdened with worries.
Jiang Li's mission is complete, and Xiao Pangya appears in front of her, congratulating her on being able to return to the real world. Jiang Li doesn't want to be separated from Shen Xiuning. She tearfully pleads with Xiao Pangya to let her stay in the game a little longer with Shen Xiuning, but Xiao Pangya uses an invisible net to separate them. While Jiang Li is talking to Xiao Pangya, Shen Xiuning is frozen in place. When he regains consciousness, he sees Jiang Li crying, and he desperately breaks through Xiao Pangya's net, grabbing Jiang Li's hand and using the red string to tie her wrist. However, even so, he couldn't keep Jiang Li and could only despairingly watch her gradually disappear.
Jiang Li returns to the real world and sees Shen Xiuning on the computer, already starting a new mission with another player. She is silently shedding tears, and someone hands her a tissue. Jiang Li is pleasantly surprised to find that the person is none other than Shen Xiuning. Astonishingly, the red string is still tied around Shen Xiuning's wrist. (End of the drama)
