Episode 11 recap: Wu Shuo Mo expressed his feelings to Mu Yao.
Mu Yao said she didn't know Wu Shuo Mo, but they only had a brief encounter. Mu Yao mentioned that her father had received a message while in prison. When Mu Yao returned to her room, she discovered someone hiding behind her, and to her surprise, it was Wu Shuo Mo. He expressed his love for Mu Yao and promised to help clear her name. However, Mu Yao still chased Wu Shuo Mo away. After this incident, Wu Shuo Mo became more interested in collaborating with Hua Qian, and when he left, he took Mu Yao's hairpin with him.
Not long after Hua Qian returned, Wu Shuo Mo kept inviting her out, but Hua Qian knew his intentions and straightforwardly rejected him. Hua Qian learned from her maid that Hua Man had been rewarded to a stableman and probably would never return. Hua Qian dropped what she was holding in her hand to the ground. She didn't expect Hua Man to receive such severe punishment.
Zhong Xi Wu had been secretly observing the situation in the city and learned that everyone had left except Wu Shuo Mo, who stayed in the city and visited Hua Qian daily, only to be rejected each time. Wu Shuo Mo blocked Hua Qian's carriage again and expressed his desire to cooperate with her. However, Hua Qian informed him that Mu Yao would become Zhong Ye Lan's concubine.
