Upon discovering the stolen silver left by her father, she bravely admits that her father was a corrupt official. When confronted with Lin Siniang, her mother's romantic rival, she can openly express her feelings and, after learning the reasons behind the situation, chooses not to hold grudges. She even pays respects to Lin Siniang after her death.

He comes from a family of butchers but chose to become a constable because he didn't want to slaughter pigs. Qu Sangeng has a conflict with the newly appointed Chief Constable, and Gao Shicong is worried that the Chief Constable will take personal revenge on him.
