Episode 17 recap: Ming Ya cooks for Beishuo.

Ming Ya says that this dish is called "whatever." Beishuo asks if Ming Ya is trying to fool him with these ingredients. Ming Ya explains that Beishuo said "whatever" himself, so she can only use the available ingredients in the kitchen to make something random. If Beishuo has other preferences, he needs to make it clear.

Ming Ya says that she's not a mind reader and doesn't know what Beishuo is thinking. The servant informs Beishuo that Ming Ya is causing a commotion in the kitchen and asks if they should replace her. Beishuo declines and asks the servant to inform Zhang Jie that there's no need to find a new cook for him.

Ming Ya asks the servant what Beishuo wants to eat, and the servant says Beishuo said "whatever." Ming Ya gets frustrated and says she hates it when people say "whatever." She brings over some cucumbers and lettuce and says that this dish is called "whatever." Beishuo asks if she's trying to fool him with just these ingredients.

She takes Beishuo to the garden and tells him to rest well, eat properly, and engage in some entertainment activities because depression can be treated.

Ming Ya sings a song for Beishuo, and he realizes that the song sounds very familiar. He feels like he has heard it before.
