Episode 2 recap: Beishuo took Ming Ya back to his mansion.
Beishuo entered from the window side and suddenly fainted. Ming Ya helped Beishuo onto the bed, and Beishuo woke up, grabbing Ming Ya's neck, asking why Ming Ya knew his name. Ming Ya said that they also knew his height, weight, and date of birth. There were people outside coming to capture assassins, so Ming Ya asked Beishuo to lie down on the bed.
Ming Ya went to open the door, saying that this was their husband and offered some wine for celebration. The searching people didn't suspect anything and left for the time being. Beishuo asked Ming Ya if they were truly the Ming Ya from the Princess Chang's mansion, and Ming Ya confirmed it without a doubt. Beishuo said that they would not owe anyone any favors and gave Ming Ya a bracelet, saying that they could come to the mansion if they needed help in the future.
Ming Ya replied that there was no need for that anymore, as they currently had something to attend to. They expressed being homeless and hoped that Beishuo could take them in. Beishuo brought Ming Ya back to the mansion and asked if Ming Ya knew how to serve others. Ming Ya peeled an orange for Beishuo. Beishuo took a bite and was surprised because they didn't expect to be able to taste anything.
Beishuo called someone to examine the scars on Ming Ya's face, and the subordinate said it was due to poisoning. Beishuo asked Ming Ya to leave for a moment, and the subordinate revealed that the Resurrection Gu was on Ming Ya's body, giving Beishuo a chance to recover. Beishuo finally understood why Ming Ya had been by their side, allowing them to taste flavors again.
The Crown Prince summoned Ming Ya.
