Episode 7 recap: Dr. Li causes chaos.
Beishuo is extremely surprised to discover that it is indeed Ming Ya. Beishuo and Ming Ya have a drink, and Beishuo kisses Ming Ya, causing his fondness for her to increase significantly. Ming Ya and Beishuo consume a lot of alcohol. Ming Ya gets drunk and recalls past events, angrily cursing a scumbag who already had a girlfriend but still pursued her.
Earlier, Ming Ya had prepared a box of chocolates to give to Beishuo when she visited his house. However, she overheard Beishuo talking to another girl and realized that he already had a girlfriend. Ming Ya sends a message to Beishuo, claiming there are some matters at school that require her immediate return, and she wants to withdraw from the project.
Beishuo's cousin approaches Ming Ya, asserting that she is the Crown Princess and could never like Ming Ya. They are enemies. Ming Ya explains to Beishuo that if he understands why she went to the battlefield, he wouldn't mind this situation. The purpose of fighting is to protect, not to kill. Beishuo overhears their conversation and sends his cousin away, stating that Ming Ya is the most important person to him.
Ming Ya obtains the fragment, and Beishuo recalls a previous incident. He had a disagreement with Dr. Li, who believed that it was because of gatekeepers like Beishuo that the nearby worlds had become chaotic. Beishuo insists that Dr. Li will not succeed. Someone infiltrates the spiritual realm, and Beishuo's cousin returns, but Beishuo realizes that she is actually Dr. Li.
