Episode 9 recap: Ming Ya pretended to be mean to Beishuo.
Beishuo helped Ming Ya comb their hair, and Ming Ya brought up things from the real world. Ming Ya mentioned that they had seen Beishuo a long time ago when they were just a freshman. Beishuo had helped their roommate move their luggage, and Ming Ya wanted to look at Beishuo but felt too shy to do so. They used a book to cover their face and secretly stole a glance at Beishuo.
Beishuo shook their head, indicating that they weren't aware of these things. Ming Ya's subordinate informed them that the prime minister was coming. Ming Ya quickly pushed Beishuo away, pretending to be serving poorly, and had their subordinate take Ming Ya away for a couple of days. If the prime minister thought the servant was useless, it would be better to kill them directly, but Ming Ya argued that although they were not very useful, they looked good, so they should be kept around.
The prime minister didn't say much, but mentioned that a disobedient servant needed a lesson. The prime minister took out a sword and stabbed Beishuo. After the prime minister left, Ming Ya quickly went to the backyard to support Beishuo. The subordinate mentioned that the prime minister's men were still watching them, and there was nothing they could do. In fact, the prime minister's men were still present and witnessed this scene.
When Beishuo woke up, they wrote a message in Ming Ya's hand, asking them not to intervene. Beishuo knocked Ming Ya unconscious and went out on their own. They found a corpse nearby. The prime minister, along with their men, arrived and accused Beishuo of killing someone, intending to capture them. Ming Ya and their group also arrived and stopped the prime minister.
