Episode 1 recap: Bai Zai Zai became the guard of the Second Prince.
The Second Prince, Liu Chang Ge, was preparing to change clothes and take a bath when a pigeon flew in through the window and instantly transformed into a woman dressed in white. Liu Chang Ge recognized her as the pigeon demon, Bai Yu Yu. Bai Yu Yu, wielding a sword, lunged directly at Liu Chang Ge. However, at that moment, a woman in a red dress suddenly appeared in the room, blocking Bai Yu Yu with her own sword.
Bai Yu Yu took a closer look and realized it was her senior sister, Bai Zai Zai. Bai Zai Zai scolded Bai Yu Yu as a traitor and immediately engaged in a fierce battle with her, both wielding their swords. Seeing the intense fight between the two, Liu Chang Ge found it quite entertaining. He casually picked up a plate of fruits, bare-chested, and enjoyed the spectacle while eating.
In terms of skill, Bai Yu Yu was slightly inferior to her senior sister, Bai Zai Zai, and eventually had to retreat and escape. Liu Chang Ge stopped Bai Zai Zai, who was about to chase after her, and proposed that she become his guard because she had saved him twice already.
Liu Chang Ge promised to help Bai Zai Zai find Bai Yu Yu. Bai Zai Zai thought it was a good idea, especially since she was currently in financial difficulties. She also requested a monthly salary of three taels of silver, along with food and accommodation, to which Liu Chang Ge readily agreed.
The Third Prince, Liu Chang Jie, was plotting with the imperial tutor, Shen Yi. The eldest brother, Liu Chang He, was the legitimate heir, but his mother carried a criminal record. The most competitive candidate was the Second Prince, Liu Chang Ge. Bai Yu Yu reported her failed assassination attempt, and Shen Yi scolded her loudly. Liu Chang Jie intervened and suggested that he personally assassinate Liu Chang Ge.
Enraged, the imperial tutor stormed off, and Liu Chang Jie embraced Bai Yu Yu in his arms.
