Episode 10 recap: Liu Chang Ge saves Bai Zai Zai.
After Bai Zai Zai leaves, Liu Chang Ge is filled with sorrow as he looks at her portrait. Wang Zongguan sees this and advises him that if he can't bear to let go of Bai Zai Zai, he should go after her. Liu Chang Ge entrusts the matters of the residence to Wang Zongguan and sets off to find Bai Zai Zai.
Gong Sun Qing reports to the Crown Prince, Liu Chang He, that Bai Zai Zai is a rabbit demon and keeping her around will disrupt their plans. Liu Chang He instructs her to seek out the demon-slaying Taoist, Li You Dao, to capture Bai Zai Zai.
Bai Zai Zai returns to her hometown and offers incense to her master's memorial tablet, pouring out her confusion. She knows that Liu Chang Ge treats her well, but as humans and demons have different paths, if she doesn't leave him, she will surely get entangled. However, she can't forget Liu Chang Ge and doesn't know what to do.
Just then, Li You Dao shows up and engages in a fight with Bai Zai Zai. Bai Zai Zai escapes into a room, and Li You Dao follows, revealing a demon-revealing mirror. Bai Zai Zai quickly reverts to her true form. Just as Li You Dao intends to take Bai Zai Zai away, Liu Chang Ge arrives in time and defeats Li You Dao with his powers. Li You Dao flees in a sorry state.
Liu Chang Ge gently caresses Bai Zai Zai, who instantly transforms back into her human form. Bai Zai Zai wakes up and sees Liu Chang Ge standing behind her. She expresses her sadness, saying that Liu Chang Ge shouldn't have saved her, as humans and demons have different paths and no future together.
Liu Chang Ge embraces her and says that he has known all along that she is a demon, but what can they do about it? He simply wants to protect her.
