Episode 13 recap: Liu Chang He kills the fox fairy and frames Bai Zai Zai.
The fox fairy says that in order to get rid of Liu Chang Ge, it is necessary to eliminate Bai Zai Zai. Liu Chang He orders the fox fairy to lure out Bai Zai Zai. Bai Zai Zai is still puzzled in the mansion, wondering why Li You Dao hasn't eliminated the fox fairy after a month. Just as she is contemplating this, a maid comes to report that Miss Gong Sun Qing wants to invite her for a gathering in the outskirts. Bai Zai Zai eagerly agrees, wanting to see what tricks this fox demon, disguised as Gong Sun Qing, is going to play.
Bai Zai Zai arrives as scheduled and finds the fox demon waiting there. The fox demon proudly boasts to Bai Zai Zai about her imminent marriage to Liu Chang Ge. Bai Zai Zai warns her that with her mere hundred years of cultivation, she could easily destroy her cultivation in minutes. Considering her difficult cultivation journey, Bai Zai Zai advises her to quickly escape to avoid a tragic fate.
However, the fox fairy cunningly argues that Bai Zai Zai is simply jealous and assures her that she will treat Liu Chang Ge well. Angered, Bai Zai Zai intends to draw her sword and teach the fox demon a lesson, but suddenly Li You Dao appears and kills the fox fairy with a magical tool, without saying a word, before leaving.
Bai Zai Zai wants to chase after him and get an explanation, but Gong Sun Zan happens to arrive and holds her sister, grieving deeply. Meanwhile, Liu Chang Ge is dealing with official affairs in the mansion when the steward brings him tea and says that he was right. Bai Zai Zai is indeed a pure-hearted and good girl.
Liu Chang Ge asks where Bai Zai Zai is now, and the steward says she was invited by Miss Gong Sun Qing to the outskirts. Upon hearing this, Liu Chang Ge quickly rushes out. He arrives just in time to see Gong Sun Zan swinging his sword at Bai Zai Zai. Liu Chang Ge swiftly rescues Bai Zai Zai and takes her away from there.
Liu Chang He, upon hearing the report from his steward, is satisfied with this outcome. Killing the fox demon has created a rift between Liu Chang Ge and Gong Sun Zan, and the fox demon's death serves a purpose.
