Episode 15 recap: Bai Zai Zai believes that she is a substitute for Shen Xing.
Chen Xiao Xiao brings Bai Zai Zai to Liu Chang Ge's secret chamber, where Bai Zai Zai sees a portrait of a girl hanging on the wall that looks exactly like her. Chen Xiao Xiao tells Bai Zai Zai that Liu Chang Ge truly loves the girl in the portrait, and Bai Zai Zai is just a replacement. If the girl on the wall were still alive, what would Bai Zai Zai be worth? Bai Zai Zai is hurt by Chen Xiao Xiao's words and painfully asks why she is being told all of this.
Chen Xiao Xiao angrily states that Bai Zai Zai is not worthy of Liu Chang Ge. She cannot stand by and watch as Bai Zai Zai, a demon, ruins Liu Chang Ge and destroys his future. After Chen Xiao Xiao leaves, Bai Zai Zai falls into deep distress. She doesn't even notice when Liu Chang Ge enters the room until he greets her, and only then does Bai Zai Zai snap out of her thoughts. She asks him in utter despair if all of this is true. Liu Chang Ge is unable to answer immediately.
Bai Zai Zai turns and walks away. The steward reports to Liu Chang Ge that Bai Yu Yu has been away from Liu Chang Jie for three months and is now back in her hometown alone. Liu Chang Ge shares this news with Bai Zai Zai, who returns to her old residence and indeed finds Bai Yu Yu sitting there in a disheveled state.
Bai Zai Zai berates her for causing their master's death and declares that she will seek revenge on her behalf. Bai Yu Yu admits that she was indeed deceived by Shen Yi and caused their master's death. She has returned this time to confess her sins to her senior sister and let her handle the situation as she sees fit.
