Episode 9 recap: Bai Zai Zai says goodbye to Liu Chang Ge.
Liu Chang Ge, under the influence of the aphrodisiac, gasps for breath and embraces Bai Zai Zai, kissing her without hesitation. Bai Zai Zai is stunned by his actions. After regaining her composure, she struggles and breaks free from Liu Chang Ge's embrace, hastily opens the door, and runs out.
Gong Sun Qing, who is waiting nearby for the aphrodisiac to take effect on Liu Chang Ge, becomes filled with anger upon seeing Bai Zai Zai. Once again, this Bai Zai Zai has ruined her plans. Bai Yu Yu, who appeared at some point, taunts Gong Sun Qing for resorting to such methods against Liu Chang Ge.
Gong Sun Qing, displeased, asks Bai Yu Yu who she is. Bai Yu Yu tells her not to worry about that and that she has come to provide useful information. She informs Gong Sun Qing that Bai Zai Zai is also a demon. Bai Zai Zai returns to her residence and reflects on what Liu Chang Ge did to her. She feels a bit shy but then becomes melancholic. She knows that humans and demons have different paths, and she and Liu Chang Ge will never have a good outcome. Therefore, it is time for her to leave.
Bai Zai Zai comes to bid farewell to Liu Chang Ge. Liu Chang Ge is reluctant to let her go, but Bai Zai Zai's decision is firm. Liu Chang Ge instructs Wang Zongguan to settle her wages. On her way out of the Wang residence, Bai Zai Zai is stopped by Gong Sun Qing. Both of them recognize each other's true forms, but in their fight, Gong Sun Qing's skills are lacking, and she is defeated by Bai Zai Zai. In a panic, Gong Sun Qing escapes.
