Episode 1 recap: Wang Lili's death.
The dance hall was filled with joy and laughter. Hu Xiaodie (played by Wang Yijin) found Manager Wu and informed him that the engagement ceremony was about to begin, asking him to prepare. Wang Lili, who was nearby, saw her and mentioned that Mr. Liu had dropped the engagement ring and asked her to help deliver it. Manager Wu stood up and walked to the stage, expressing his gratitude to everyone for being there. He then invited today's protagonists, Liu Feifan and Hu Xiaodie.
Hu Xiaodie noticed the lipstick mark on Liu Feifan's clothes and immediately asked if it belonged to Wang Lili, accusing him of being a scumbag. Hu Xiaodie was called into the leader's office and reprimanded. The leader criticized her for being illiterate and mentioned that no one was watching her movies anymore. He hoped she could live peacefully for a few days. Hu Xiaodie stated that all of this chaos was caused by Wang Lili.
Hu Xiaodie heard that her fans had run away overnight after seeing the news. She expressed that they were overly obsessed with her personal life. When she asked if there were any new job arrangements, Secretary Hua mentioned a supporting role. Hu Xiaodie said she didn't want to lower her value by taking on a supporting role, but Secretary Hua insisted, saying that Manager Wu said to just take it. Hu Xiaodie reluctantly agreed for the time being. Secretary Hua then mentioned that the lead actress in the new film is Wang Lili, which infuriated Hu Xiaodie. However, in order to protect her livelihood, she still accepted the offer.
In the morning, the nanny brought breakfast to Wang Lili's room. When she received no response, she walked in and was shocked to see Wang Lili lying motionless on the bed, causing her to drop the bowl in fright.
