Episode 19 recap: Watson saves Hu Xiaodie with the account book.
Mr. Qin has someone take away Hu Xiaodie. When Hu Xiaodie sees him, she expresses that it is completely inappropriate for him to do such things in broad daylight. Mr. Qin says that it's different when someone has touched his belongings. Hu Xiaodie insists that she didn't touch his things. Mr. Qin asks where the account book is. It is then that Hu Xiaodie realizes that he is after the account book and understands that the person who killed Wang Lili is the man in front of her, Mr. Qin.
After receiving a call from Ah Zhong, Watson learns of Hu Xiaodie's location. Upon seeing Hu Xiaodie unconscious, she immediately approaches with concern. Mr. Qin asks her where the account book is. Watson immediately throws the account book to him, stating that she has no use for it and as long as she can ensure her and Xiaodie's safety, she will hand over the other half to him. Mr. Qin can only admit that he has lost to them this time and this round can be disregarded. However, he insists that the other half must be given to him, or they will never live in peace.
Chief Duan states that according to Liu Feifan's testimony, Ah Zhong is the target in Wang Lili's case. Hu Xiaodie suggests that they should immediately set off to capture him. With no other options, Ah Zhong ends up in Wang Lili's room. He says that he has nowhere to hide now and can only take temporary refuge there, hoping that she won't scare him if she sees him considering the dollars he burned for her. As Ah Zhong is about to open the window to jump in, a figure suddenly appears, causing him to fall. Chief Duan witnesses this and rushes over.
