Episode 3 recap: Traveling a long distance to see Luo Hong.
Peng Jin Xi is very eloquent. With a few words, he successfully distracts the people guarding the beach and starts selling his swim trunks freely on the beach. Peng Jin Dong uses all his connections and finally finds a job repairing bicycles for Peng Jin Xi, but Peng Jin Xi has disappeared for now.
Knowing this but not saying anything, Peng Jin Dong plans to go to the seaside to find his younger brother. Luo Hong returns and goes straight to the Peng family to find Peng Jin Xi. When Peng Jin Xiu sees Qin Sheng waiting outside the house for Luo Hong, she immediately becomes displeased and says some unpleasant words. Qin Sheng threatens that no one from their family will be able to work at the Supply and Marketing Cooperative.
Luo Hong asks Qin Sheng to go back as she has something to say to Peng Jin Xi alone. As a result, Qin Sheng turns around and goes to Luo's house to complain to Luo Shi Fu. Luo Shi Fu goes to the seaside and brings his daughter back, resulting in Luo Hong not meeting Peng Jin Xi.

Peng Jin Xi takes off his clothes and sits with other people by the seaside, hoping that the person in charge won't expose him. At this moment, Peng Jin Dong appears and intervenes, distracting the person in charge and immediately recognizing his overweight younger brother among others, taking him back home.
Upon returning home, Peng Jin Xi hears from Peng Jin Xiu that Luo Hong came to their house earlier. Without looking back, Peng Jin Xi runs towards Luo's house and learns from Luo Shi Fu that Luo Hong and Qin Sheng have taken the train back to school. He quickly hops on Peng Jin Dong's bicycle and heads straight to the train station.
Qin Sheng is buying melon seeds on the platform when he first sees Peng Jin Xi hurriedly looking for someone. He immediately boards the train and closes the window and curtains, claiming that he's afraid the wind will give Luo Hong a cold. Due to Qin Sheng's obstruction, Peng Jin Xi is unable to see Luo Hong before the train departs.
On the train, Qin Sheng presents Luo Hong with a pen as a gift and confesses his feelings, but Luo Hong rejects him. After returning to school, Qin Sheng doesn't give up and continues to gather information about Luo Hong through her roommate using food as bait.
Peng Jin Xi used the money earned from selling swim trunks to buy meat and improve the family's meals. Peng Jin Dong disapproved of this money, considering it to be ill-gotten, which led to an argument between the two brothers. They were stopped by Peng's mother.
Peng's mother intervened and mediated between the brothers, and they reconciled. Peng Jin Xi promised not to engage in such activities again, although in reality, everyone in the family, except Peng Jin Dong, agreed with Peng Jin Xi's actions. Upon learning that Luo Hong was working as a female model for photography, and the photos would be displayed on the school bulletin board, Peng Jin Xi decided to become a male model and take a photo with Luo Hong for the bulletin board. However, Luo Hong kept her distance and maintained appropriate boundaries, afraid of giving others the wrong impression, and refused to take a photo together.
Peng Jin Dong locked the house door with a lock to prevent Peng Jin Xi from going out and engaging in speculative activities. Peng Jin Xi persuaded his sister and staged a play, successfully convincing Peng Jin Dong to allow him to go out. As soon as she received the photo, Luo Hong immediately put Qin Sheng's photo aside and told her roommate that she had a boyfriend, emphasizing that her relationship with Qin Sheng was just that of ordinary classmates.
Although her roommate lied, Luo Hong knew that the can of malted milk in her hand was a gift from Qin Sheng. Peng Jin Xi wanted to go to Shenyang to see Luo Hong, but with his older brother around, he found it difficult to make a move, so he had to discuss it with his mother.
His mother agreed to let him go to Shenyang to find Luo Hong but warned him not to get his hopes up too much. After all, Luo Hong was now a college student, and even if they were together for a year, she might change her mind. Peng Jin Xi didn't ask his mother for money and lied, claiming that Pangtou and Gouzi had given him some. In reality, Peng Jin Xi only had one yuan and four cents with him. He planned to evade the fare but was caught by the conductor and had to pay for the ticket.
Finally, he arrived at Luo Hong's university late at night and was explaining the situation to the security guard at the entrance, hoping that the guard would allow him to enter and deliver the dried tofu to Luo Hong. Just then, Luo Hong passed by and spotted Peng Jin Xi's familiar figure. With her eyes reddened, she called out Peng Jin Xi's name.
