Episode 18 recap: Identity exposed and trapped in a crisis.
Zhang Ren went to the secret room and found a hair, realizing that someone had already broken in. Lan'er remembered that Lin Wanqing had been there before, and Zhang Ren understood that he had been deceived. He went to the mine to gather elite soldiers, intending to detain Su Moyi and the others. Zhang Ren instructed Lan'er to stay at the mansion and quietly guard it, to prevent Su Moyi from escaping.
Su Moyi sensed that something was amiss at the Zhang residence and felt they were in danger. He wanted to escape with Lin Wanqing and the others but was unexpectedly surrounded by Lan'er. Su Moyi fought against Lan'er while instructing Ye Qing to poison their enemies, allowing them to successfully escape from the Zhang residence. After escaping, Su Moyi and everyone else disguised themselves and prepared to leave Hongzhou in separate groups.
Concerned for Lin Wanqing's safety, Su Moyi asked her to leave with Liang Weiping. However, when they reached the city gate, Lin Wanqing was almost discovered by Lan'er. In order to protect Lin Wanqing, Su Moyi intentionally fled to distract Lan'er. But Lin Wanqing, worried about Su Moyi's safety, chased after him. Su Moyi managed to escape the pursuers and took Lin Wanqing along, which led to Lin Wanqing breaking down in tears as she held onto Su Moyi.
Liang Weiping arrived to pursue Lin Wanqing and coincidentally saw her embracing Su Moyi. He understood that they were already together and questioned when this had happened, wondering if he was the only one unaware. Lin Wanqing confessed the truth, but Liang Weiping still disliked Su Moyi and couldn't bear to let go of Lin Wanqing. However, since Lin Wanqing loved Su Moyi, he had no choice but to hide his love for her deep within his heart.
Su Moyi and the others discussed a plan to leave the city again. Suddenly, Su Moyi had the idea of disguising themselves as guards and using their identities to poison the gatekeepers and escape. When Zhang Ren encountered Liang Wang's men, he learned about Su Moyi's identity. He wanted to confront the messenger, but the messenger had already disappeared. He had no choice but to find a way to capture Su Moyi. Lailuo and Ye Qing prepared porridge for the guards, who happily came forward to receive it. After drinking the porridge, they all collapsed.
