Episode 2 recap: Embarking on an undercover mission, Lin Wanqing mistakenly becomes an accomplice.
In order to revive the Mido Mido Escort Agency, Lin Wanqing accepted a mission to assassinate the notorious womanizer, Si Nanza. She disguised herself and entered a brothel. Wearing a mask, Lin Wanqing entered a room where Si Nanza was displaying his martial arts skills. Si Nanza mistook her for a seductive courtesan and eagerly anticipated the game Lin Wanqing had planned. However, to his surprise, Lin Wanqing used her sword to carve the word "scum" on his body, causing him to faint in terror.
Although Lin Wanqing despised Si Nanza, she couldn't bring herself to kill him. She had to abandon the mission to assassinate Si Nanza. Just as she was about to leave, she coincidentally encountered an investigation by the Dali Temple, leaving her unsure of how to escape. The Dali Temple official, Qing Sumoyi, led a team to the brothel to apprehend He De, a high-ranking official from the Ministry of Revenue, and also deal with the assassin targeting He De. This encounter brought Lin Wanqing face-to-face with them.

However, before the assassin could confess, they were killed by a hidden weapon deployed by the mastermind. This turn of events led Qing Sumoyi to become suspicious.
