Episode 7 recap: Jin Mulai and Xu Lai are jealous of each other.
Xu Lai comes to find Xiao Ma Que, and Jin Mulai approaches Xu Lai with a prop knife. Xiao Ma Que quickly steps in to stop him. Xu Lai, angry to see him here, says to Xiao Ma Que, "Isn't this the crazy person from the hospital entrance? Have they moved in together so quickly?" Xiao Ma Que hurriedly explains that it's not true.
However, Jin Mulai presents a contract as proof that they are currently living together. Just as Xu Lai is about to lose his temper, he suddenly notices a glint in Jin Mulai's eyes and seems to have an epiphany. It turns out that Jin Mulai is a robot created by Xiao Ma Que. Xu Lai realizes that Jin Mulai is a product of Xiao Ma Que's research and feels relieved. However, Jin Mulai refuses to back down and denies being a robot, claiming to be a genuine extraterrestrial.
Xiao Ma Que interrupts their argument, saying that they're hungry. Xu Lai asks her to come with him as he has already reserved a table. Jin Mulai picks up Xiao Ma Que and starts walking away, which angers Xu Lai. But considering that Jin Mulai is a robot, Xu Lai chooses not to confront him. Xu Lai takes Xiao Ma Que to have her favorite hot pot and is surprised to see Jin Mulai constantly defending Xiao Ma Que.
Jin Mulai believes that he is her boyfriend and doesn't allow Xu Lai to be overly attentive in front of Xiao Ma Que. They even argue over peeling a shrimp. At first, Xiao Ma Que finds Jin Mulai's behavior useful, but when she sees them endlessly competing, she angrily raises her voice to stop them.
When it's time to pay the bill, Jin Mulai refuses to back down. However, after snatching the bill, he realizes that he has no money in his pocket and watches helplessly as Xu Lai wins this round.
