Episode 8 recap: Jin Mulei wants to know the secrets in Xiao Maque's computer.
The competition between the two continues. Xu Lai believes he is a top-notch racer and tries to shake off Jin Mulei by driving ahead. However, Jin Mulei somehow ends up sitting in his car without Xu Lai's knowledge. The two confront each other inside the car. Jin Mulei criticizes Xu Lai for being terrible, leaving Xiao Maque alone at the restaurant. Xu Lai quickly turns around to pick up Xiao Maque but finds Jin Mulei already standing next to her.
He explains to Xiao Maque that he was just charging his phone in Xu Lai's car earlier. Xu Lai angrily chases after them from behind, berating Jin Mulei for draining his car's battery and leaving him with no choice but to take a taxi. At that moment, a flashy red sports car stops in front of them, and Xu Lai's seductive female secretary steps out of the car, inviting Xu Lai to join her in a flirtatious manner. Xu Lai, worried that Xiao Maque might misunderstand, quickly explains to her. However, Jin Mulei tightly holds Xiao Maque's hand and ignores Xu Lai. Awkwardly, Xu Lai says goodbye to Xiao Maque and leaves.
The secretary tells him that possessiveness is at play here. Annoyed, Xu Lai scolds the secretary, who decides she doesn't want to work for him anymore. Back at home, Xiao Maque falls asleep, still hugging her computer. Jin Mulei sees this and wants to take a look inside the computer to find the secrets that his grandfather asked him to find. Xiao Maque wakes up, loudly asking Jin Mulei what he's doing. Jin Mulei quickly makes up an excuse. Xiao Maque's mother calls and reprimands her for getting involved with Jin Mulei, a penniless and suspicious person.
Remembering the embarrassing scene during the bill payment earlier, Jin Mulei decides to go out and make money. He sees an old lady picking up cardboard boxes on the street and learns that it can be a source of income. Using his special abilities, Jin Mulei quickly gathers a large number of cardboard boxes, leaving the old lady envious.
