Episode 16 recap: Luo Qing Lian encountered an incident.
The person revealed that Mo Fu Ren was the mastermind behind it and then committed suicide. Mo Fu Ren vehemently denied the accusations, but He Lian Xin ordered her position as the secondary wife to be revoked. He Lian Xin stated that Mo Fu Ren's child would be raised by the legitimate wife and ordered for Mo Fu Ren to be taken away. Lv Bei Yi pointed out that there was still a question and requested to get closer to Rou Fu Ren to smell something. He Lian Xin agreed.
Lv Bei Yi mentioned that there was a scent of powder on Rou Fu Ren's body, which he also detected on Luo Qing Lian. Dogs generally don't attack people, and Luo Qing Lian wouldn't pose a danger to a dog. It must have been due to the powder. Luo Qing Lian believed that when that person approached her, they must have poured the powder on her, and since Rou Fu Ren was with her, she also got the scent on her.

While they were talking, Luo Qing Lian mentioned that she couldn't feel the child before, but when the dog attacked her, her thoughts were all about the child. He was her only relative here. He Lian Xin happened to overhear this from outside and was furious to realize that Luo Qing Lian only considered the child as her family and didn't care about him at all.

He Lian Xin has someone specially make the ring that Luo Qing Lian had previously liked. Luo Qing Lian's younger sister comes to Luo Qing Lian's side and tries on her clothes and jewelry, which makes the maidservants unhappy. Luo Qing Lian's younger sister wants to eat candy, and the maidservants say it's a gift from He Lian Xin, but Luo Qing Lian can't bear to eat it.
Luo Qing Lian's younger sister and the maidservants argue and she slaps one of the maidservants. Luo Qing Lian believes that her younger sister is in the wrong, and her younger sister curses the maidservant. Luo Qing Lian slaps her younger sister. Her younger sister gets angry and runs out.
The maidservants on Luo Qing Lian's side go out to look for her younger sister, and Rou Fu Ren is also happy when she learns about it.
