Episode 6 recap: He Lian Xin is in danger.
Lan'er sees that Luo Qing Lian is not dead, and people from the Crown Prince's side come to find Lan'er, demanding that she kill Luo Qing Lian. Lan'er poisons the tea she serves to Luo Qing Lian, and after drinking it, Luo Qing Lian vomits blood.Rong, a servant, wants to help and Luo Qing Lian instructs her to find Lv Bei Yi. Rong goes to find Lv Bei Yi, but he has fainted due to being imprisoned for too long. Rong brings water to revive him and finally learns how to detoxify the poison.
Lan'er tries to escape, but due to people outside, she takes refuge in the study. By chance, Lan'er opens a secret compartment, and the people from the Crown Prince's side attempt to kill her to silence her. Lan'er tells them to give the item in the compartment to the Crown Prince, as it can save her life. Lan'er writes a letter stating that He Lian Xin has gathered a lot of evidence against the Crown Prince and shows one of them to him.
The Crown Prince is shocked to see the evidence and realizes that if this evidence reaches his father, he will lose his position as the Crown Prince. He realizes that He Lian Xin wants him dead. Lady Yao ties up Lan'er and questions why she did such things, even though Lan'er is not her personal maid like Ru Hua, she has been with her for many years.
Lan'er explains that she has served Lady Yao for many years, enduring her abuse and now it's Lady Yao who comes to beg for her help. Lady Yao says she is willing to plead for Lan'er's sake in exchange for helping He Lian Xin. Luo Qing Lian informs them that she has found a witness and brings the legitimate wife with her to Lady Yao's place, only to discover that Lan'er is already dead.
Lady Yao reveals that she discovered Lan'er having an affair with someone else and had her killed. Luo Qing Lian and the others are unable to take any action against Lady Yao at the moment. Without evidence, He Lian Xin believes that Luo Qing Lian is the one who killed Hui'er and wants her to pay with her life.
Unexpectedly, the prince arrives and issues a command. He declares that tomorrow is the anniversary of the late queen's death and orders the Crown Prince He Lian Xin and Luo Qing Lian to go together to pay respects to the late queen.
Now that they have this command, He Lian Xin has no way to kill Luo Qing Lian.
He Lian Xin and the others go out, and Luo Qing Lian expresses that she feels very uncomfortable due to the rough journey and wants to rest for a while. The Crown Prince agrees. There are many commoners nearby, and a young boy says he is hungry. When He Lian Xin sees him, he is reminded of Hui'er and gives the boy some silver coins.
Unexpectedly, someone had already set up an ambush here and blasted the mountain, causing many rocks to fall. Luo Qing Lian quickly runs out, but He Lian Xin is trapped underneath. With great effort, He Lian Xin finds something to move the rocks and manages to save the young boy, who was about to be hit by a falling rock.
Luo Qing Lian initially intended to leave, but she is surprised to see how much He Lian Xin cares about the common people, so she goes to rescue him. Lady Yao wants to go and save He Lian Xin, but Ru Hua disagrees, saying that if Lady Yao goes to save him, it would be impossible to explain how she knew about the situation in the first place.
Lady Yao still decides to go, but the legitimate wife arrives and slaps Lady Yao, stating that she overheard Lady Yao saying she wanted to save He Lian Xin, which proves that she knew about the situation all along. The Crown Prince arrives and accuses He Lian Xin of endangering the lives of the common people in his attempt on the Crown Prince's life. Seventh Young Master comes to protect the people in He Lian Xin's mansion, so the Crown Prince can only leave for now.
Lady Yao calls her brother for help to save He Lian Xin. The legitimate wife's younger brother, Fang Erge, also arrives and says that the Crown Prince has found evidence against their father. He promises that if He Lian Xin returns, he will impeach their father, and their family's honor will be entrusted to the legitimate wife, so they must not let He Lian Xin come back.
He Lian Xin wakes up and realizes that it was Luo Qing Lian who saved him.
