Episode 16 recap: Qi Miao is forever a child in her mother's eyes.
Qi Miao was watching TV with her mother when suddenly a scene came up with the male lead kissing the female lead. At that moment, her mother covered Qi Miao's eyes and said children shouldn't watch content unsuitable for their age. Qi Miao felt puzzled. She was already thirty years old and considered an adult. She was even labeled as an "elderly leftover woman," so why would she be treated like a child? Qi Miao intentionally picked out one for her mother and as she looked at her mother in the mirror, she suddenly couldn't recall her mother's appearance when she was young. The next day, on her day off, her mother prepared breakfast and arranged it into a child-like pattern. Qi Miao mistakenly thought that a child had come to their home.
While working at the company, Qi Miao received a call from her aunt. Her aunt mentioned that her mother couldn't do without her and thought that Qi Miao spent very little time with her, asking her to take better care of her mother. Qi Miao specially returned to her hometown and surprised her mother. When her mother saw the cake in front of her, she realized that it was her birthday. Qi Miao came back as an example and to celebrate with her mother. Her mother was very happy and when she saw Qi Miao slightly burn her hand on the candles, she blew on it with concern. In her mother's eyes, no matter how old Qi Miao was, she would always be a child.
As Qi Miao prepared to return, her mother wanted to send her off with everything in the house, fearing that she would go hungry or get cold.
