Episode 13 recap: The Crown Prince is dissatisfied with the marriage arrangement.
The Crown Prince meets with Prince Wuji and mentions that recently the Empress has been calling him to discuss the marriage with Princess Jinshan. Prince Wuji asks if he is dissatisfied with the political marriage or if there is someone else in his heart. The Crown Prince admits that he does have someone else in his heart. Tang Xiaolu declares that from now on, they will sever ties.
The Qixi Festival banquet is approaching, and Xiao Fang is keeping an eye on everyone, ensuring that everything is prepared on their side. Tang Xiaolu finishes packing and leaves. While walking on the street, Tang Xiaolu sees vendors selling hairpins and bracelets, which reminds him of his time with Prince Wuji.
A vendor selling childhood sweetheart knots tells Tang Xiaolu that Prince Wuji helped him find his match and wants to give a matching knot as a gift. However, Tang Xiaolu directly refuses. Tang Xiaolu feels that none of those things are important. Lin Mier takes out the Silent Sword and tells Tang Xiaolu to destroy it with his own hands. This way, their brothers will give up on him, and they won't follow him anymore. Tang Xiaolu throws the sword away, declaring that from now on, they will sever ties.
