Episode 6 recap: Prince Wuji and Tang Xiaolu went out to buy things.
Inside the hidden compartment were all swords and knives, which surprised Tang Xiaolu. Prince Wuji also had a parrot there, which started squawking, indicating that an assassin was approaching. Tang Xiaolu tried to stop the parrot but couldn't, so she quickly ran away. Unexpectedly, Prince Wuji had already arrived and caught Tang Xiaolu in the act.
Prince Wuji stated that he had already made an agreement with Tang Xiaolu, forbidding her from entering his room. He asked her why she had come over. Tang Xiaolu stumbled through an explanation and took the opportunity to escape. The servant expressed that Prince Wuji misunderstood Tang Xiaolu. In reality, she had come to take one of Prince Wuji's clothes to make a new garment for him as a gift.
The servant revealed that Tang Xiaolu had asked for Prince Wuji's birth chart earlier, claiming that she wanted to give him a present. Tang Xiaolu went out to buy fabric but didn't have money. She intended to use a hairpin as payment, but Prince Wuji intercepted her and bought the cloth himself. On the way, they encountered an old woman selling bracelets made of flowers, and Prince Wuji bought one for Tang Xiaolu.
When Tang Xiaolu returned, she heard that Lin Mier had come to find her and was delighted, quickly going to meet her. Just as Prince Wuji was about to arrive, Lin Mier was astonished to see him.
