Episode 1 recap: Zhong Yi became an anti-fraud police officer.
When Zhong Yi was very young, his mother committed suicide after being swindled out of her money. Since then, Zhong Yi has been determined to become an anti-fraud police officer. After graduating from the police academy, Zhong Yi successfully joined the Anti-Fraud Center in the western part of the city, finally realizing his dream. Zhong Yi arrived at the Anti-Fraud Center for reporting, but everyone was busy and had no time to attend to him.
Captain Hao called the city bureau to inquire when their specialized team would finish their case and release the person, as they were extremely busy. A team member reported that they were unable to reach a victim on the phone, and there was no one available to respond to the call. Zhong Yi stepped forward and offered to go. Captain Hao learned that Zhong Yi had just reported for duty and asked Yi Xiaofan to accompany him.
Zheng Daqian received a call instructing him to transfer the money from his account to a secure one, as he was involved in a money laundering scheme. Stuck in traffic, Zhong Yi quickly got out of the car and ran over. He obtained a room key from a service staff and entered, intercepting Zheng Daqian to prevent him from making the transfer. They got into a fight, and the call was disconnected. A team member came out of the room, saying they couldn't locate the call.
It turned out that Zheng Daqian was the deputy captain of the Anti-Fraud Center. This time, they were tracking a fraud den, and Zhong Yi unintentionally disrupted their operation after all their preparation.
In just a few minutes, a child's father installed that software and was scammed. The police were only a few minutes away from stopping him, but unfortunately, he was either deceived or not prevented in time.
It's really heartbreaking that the life-saving money for the child is gone. It's a sobering reminder for us all.
I binge-watched five episodes in one go. The pacing is really fast, and the emotions are intense. It's fun when it needs to be, and genuinely heartbreaking when it's supposed to be.
The relationship between the master and disciple is very interesting. Can't wait to see what happens next with the falling-out and the death in the martial arts community!
The case of the terminally ill little girl is absolutely heart-wrenching. I cried a whole pack of tears! The quality of this drama is so good that it doesn't feel like a short series.
I wish it could be longer. I need more to watch!
