Episode 10 recap: The Lord reveals his identity.
After Chen Man Cang came up with a plan to eradicate evil and corruption, General Han, upon hearing his words, began to hesitate about whether the person in front of him could succeed. Before he could hear further explanation, the Lord inside the room decisively called for someone to enter. As they entered, Chen Man Cang started talking about his own matters. The Lord sitting beside him felt that it was not surprising for him to not complete the mission, as they had been fighting against each other and Elder Gu for over 20 years without successfully subduing each other. This situation was also within reason.
After standing up, the Lord himself proactively asked if the person in front of him could be trusted. Upon receiving an answer, he immediately removed his mask, revealing that the person in front of them was Yun, the shopkeeper. Unexpectedly, Yun's grandmother suddenly arrived at the scene after a while and started pressuring Chen Man Cang for marriage. Seeing his refusal, she angrily took him away.
After being rescued, Chen Man Cang continued to explore the new place with the Lord and was appointed as the chief clerk of Changning City Lord's Mansion, mainly in charge of economic and trade affairs.
